A calming citrus oil can help relaxation before bed - the sweet smell blends well with other citrus oils but also with ylang ylang, geranium and some other florals. Great in a diffuser, and can also work added to cream or a carrier oil on combination skin but do check for optimum quantities.

I don’t know the quality of this product as I’ve never bought petitgrain essential oil before. However I’m not a fan of the smell. It’s slightly citrusy but very bitter smelling and kind of like a cross between old fashioned perfume 4711 and Wasp Spray. I also didn’t like that you have remove a plastic seal and insert the dropper yourself. It’s fiddly and the bottle of oil could be easily spilled or dropped. Not impressed.

Petitgrain has a distinctive orange blossom scent, but I find this oil to be very subtle. I expected more from it. It blends ok with geranium and ylang-ylang, but again I find it is tame in a blend. Being a top note, it evaporates quickly. I was not impressed that it arrived without the plastic dropper in place; I could have spilt it everywhere. I can only guess that they have done that if a customer wants to use a rubber dropper. Still, it is a bit of a risk, though. I would not choose to buy this oil when the bottle runs out; the scent is too weak and delicate.
