Rhodiola Rosea - 4 oz - Golden Root - Non-GMO

I've drank organic energy drinks they've never given me any type of energy. I've taken caffeinated pills, cero energy. I bought this because I was browsing through when I was buying ayurvedic herbs. So I got curious when it said it gives you energy. Ok. I don't think coffee and after the fails of the past where my body doesn't take caffeine for energy I had given up on that. So when I ordered this I had no idea it was coffee. I opened the package and made a cup. I was super surprised at the floral aroma that I was tasting and it's subtle. I didn't add sugar. Just warm water and like, half a teaspoon because again, I rarely drink coffee. Well, some time passed and I felt I had a nice subtle perk of energy that lasted me about 4 hrs!!! Body wasn't shaky, over hyped, nothing like that, I was just functional! So I loved it! I drink a cup whenever I want a perk up, so it's not often but it's so good to have it in my ayurveda box of goods!!! So nice subtle floral taste. Drink it without sugar or honey. Since it's like instant coffee you have control as to how much you want to drink. I highly recommend it when you want energy but you don't want to feel shaky due to caffeine gitters. Energy lasts for hours in my case. I really recommend it if you're like me and regular coffee, energy drinks or coffee pills don't work for you like they don't work for me. Good luck!!

Good product, prompt delivery

I normally read reviews before purchasing a product or brand I'm unfamiliar with but, I did not this time. I ordered strictly based on price because my finances are a little tight right now. It wasn't until after I purchased & received it that I decided to read the reviews. Needless to say, I went into it expecting the worst. First, let me say that upon opening the package that I believe this is probably best used in filling ones own capsules immediately after opening. This would certainly protect the product from gumming up over time due to moisture as some have complained about. I am pleasantly surprised so far. I took one dose of slightly less than an eighth of a teaspoon, my smallest teaspoon measurement, as the dose on the package is 1/7 of a teaspoon or 500mg. Tomorrow, I will break out my scale to measure out 500 mg. I mixed it in 8 oz of orange juice. Mind you, it doesn't mix well in cold liquid; it sort of encapsulated itself in the juice and, I did have to scrape the bottom of the glass to get it out of the corner once I saw some of it had settled there. And, there was no change in the flavor of the juice whatsoever (completely not what I was expecting due to some of the other reviews). Then, I decided to try it in hot water (yes, I took a 2nd dose immediately after). Instructions say to "take" (such as in capsule form?) with 8oz of water. I heated up 2oz of water and mixed a little less than 1/8 tsp. I figured that however bad it may taste, if I can handle it in 2oz I can surely handle it in 8. Also, because I just finished breakfast and just couldn't see fitting another 8oz of liquid after the 8 of OJ. 😮‍💨 At any rate, the taste was not unpleasant in the least. In fact, I could barely taste anything at all. However, it did taste and had an aroma slightly of rose petals on the front end and what I could best describe as a caramel coffee flavor on the back end. Very subtle. As such, I expect that when I mix it tomorrow in 8 oz of hot water that I likely won't be able to taste much of anything at all. Because I had already taken hydroxycut for energy, for which I'm looking to find a more natural replacement, I won't be able to report on energy level just yet. Also, because I didn't take it on an empty stomach (not that it says to, I just suspect that I may notice effects quicker) I don't expect to experience much change in my energy level today. However, I'm also going into this understanding how using natural products works; often times, it takes time to have it's desired affect on the body as it worked with the body naturally rather than forcing a reaction synthetically So, I'm giving this a 5 star for now as I have no reason not to as of yet. I'll be sure to report back with an edit after a couple of weeks. So far, I am not displeased in the least. All that being said, I will be ordering rhodiola root to grind myself and compare to this. Oh, and one more thing to note . . . due to the comments regarding package resealing difficulty and gumming up due to exposure to moisture, I transferred the powder to a jar and added a moisture absorbing packet to it. I'll report later on how that works out as well.
