This works well but the main rubber button sometimes gets stuck. You have to press it down again to get it to get it unstuck.

Easy to use, works great. Reasonable priced.

It has a slow and fast response, so gives good immediate feedback. It is cheap enough to send out in the field with a work crew for a quick noise survey and not worry about it. It is not a "professional" meter with a noise generator that can be "certified" and used for a company program, but it read very close to our professional model. I trust it can give us a good idea of noise levels at remote job locations, allowing an informed decision to be made. It is small but looks very "professional", like a miniature version of our professional db meter. So far, we like it a lot!

I have been blessed to be in a position to write insightful reviews of all types of products. Many of the products that I’ve reviewed are power tools, headphones, airguns, and other things that have noise levels that may or may not affect its marketability. Besides the functioning, appearance, construction, usability, cost, convenience and other factors, when I think it’s appropriate, I will use the decibel meter to get a few decibel readings. For some consumers, the amount of noise made by certain products is irrelevant to them, while others, maybe due to sensitivity to noises, common courtesy, or HOA regulations, need to take into consideration how much noise a certain product makes. I have access to a much more expensive decibel meter and have tested them side by side, and the readings were almost exactly the same, plus or minus 1 decibel, and that’s plenty accurate enough for my use.

Bought this to verify the dB of my phone App and they align. It gets stuck sometimes when trying to change speed. Also, wish it stored data. It functions for its purpose.

I bought this decibel reader to measure how loud my guitar amp is from different points in my house and outside. Main focus was to not disturb my neighbors with my playing. I also downloaded a decibel app on my phone to see how the two compare or differ. They both have similar readings until you get to a very loud noise level. My guitar amp can NOT possibly push more than 120-125 decibels, it’s just not possible. I didn’t even have my guitar amp cranked to 100% and it was reading 135 decibels. Which is comparable to a jet engine... While the app in my phone was stating around 120~ decibels at max. The decibel reader is very accurate until you get past 120~ decibels. For most scenarios, this decibel reader is perfect, however, at very loud levels (ie 120 dB+), it’s not accurate.

The unit is solidly constructed and has good features like fast/slow reading switching from A to C weighted measures. Wish the display lit up a bit brighter but that will help keep the battery life long...and you need to toggle the buttons to know what your measuring and how cause it doesnt remember your last settings...cheers

Acheté pour ajuster au mieux les niveaux sonores de mon ensemble home cinema 5.1 .En mode lent et pondération C , c'est très pratique , je ne regrette pas du tout mon achat , c'est parfait pour régler les enceintes et avoir un rendu sonore cohérent , pour vérifier et corriger le système de calibration intégré aux amplis . 5/5 rien à dire c'est pratique , le prix en vaut la chandèle !
