Good Night, My Darling Baby (New Books for Newborns)

As this book goes through saying goodnight to the different animals it also switched between moms and dads, which I really liked.

This book is so precious! Each page has a parent animal singing a goodnight song to their baby animals underneath the moon. It ends with human parents singing a goodnight song over their baby. I love this book for so many reasons: (1) moms AND dads are included, (2) the animals listed in the book teach kids the baby animal names alongside the animal names they recognize (i.e. Daddy Cow with Baby Calf, Mama Sheep with Baby Lamb, Papa Horse with Baby Foal, etc), (3) Each animal’s goodnight song includes the noise they make (i.e. Daddy Cow sings, “Moo, moo, moo, moo… Sweet dreams, my darling baby), and (4) a different moon is listed on each page (crescent moon, blue moon, smiling moon, etc) which I think is sweet. Plus the illustrations are cute and my toddler loves it!

Wanted a book that would be enjoy from baby's 1st day. This one Mom and Dad will enjoy reading with all the sound effects that baby will me reproducing before they know it.

I had another book in this series and got a couple of more to add to our bedtime rotation, including this one. It's a nice bedtime read and is a good one to add to the mix. It's a good length for my one year old, the pictures are nice, and the words flow well.

Great quality and beautiful illustrations. 2 year old requests it every night before bed.

Gave this as I gift with a couple of other books and it was a hit.

I love this book, so does my boy. I like singing to him anyway so this just lends itself to that. He especially likes the snuggly piglets. We normally get stuck on that page as we act out the characters. A very good idea.

Bought as a gift for a colleague who is expecting her first child. Had bought one previously for another colleague. A lovely gift.

Perfect calming night time read for my little baby.
