Well built
Beautiful and well made. That being said, it smells horrendous until it has the chance to air out for a couple of weeks so the cats wouldn't use it right away. Assembly instructions were easy to follow except how to properly place the heating pad inside the cover. If you put it under the padding it stays cold until their body pressure helps transfer the heat to the top. If you put it on top of the padding' it's kind of hard and lumpy. Im not sure i did that part right. Either way, once inside the cover you Cant zip the cover back up all the way and the cord doesn't lay flat. So instructions could be better there. The door flaps let the wind in. I don't know how they could do it any different though. I just positioned the whole house so the wind can't hit the doors. But overall it's well built and does it's job.

Good quality and affordable!
Easy to assemble. Clear instructions. Would definitely purchase again. We purchased this cat house for two outdoor cats that we recently acquired and it’s perfect. Plenty of space for them both to fit comfortably and keeps them nice and toasty on cold winter nights. They have been very pleased with their new accommodations.

Super nice cat house, instructions not so great....
The cat house arrived very well packed. The instructions leave a lot to be desired (thus the four star rating) and many places where you need to put in a screw did not have pre-drilled screw holes. The instructions refer to each lettered part you need to work on, however, the parts do not have a letter on them to reference to so you are stuck trying to figure out which part you need to use. I ended up putting the back on upside down and did not realize it until I was in the final stages of inserting the inside insulation, so I had to remove it and turn it the other way. The velcro strips to hold the insulation in place were missing on the front or at least did not come with any on that side, so I had to purchase velcro strips to hold it in place. Most all of the screw holes were pre-drilled, but there were about four that did not have a pre-drilled hole which left me wondering if I was assembling it wrong. Also, there are no screws to hold the floor boards in place, which come in two pieces and slide into a slot. After the floor boards dropped out twice, I went downstairs and found some screws that would work and used them to secure the floor boards. I'm hoping that will be enough as I don't want the floor to drop out once the cats are inside. All in all, it is assembled and is a very nice cat house, but I'm thinking it should be sealed with a wood sealer before placing outside as I don't think it will survive a lot of moisture and snow for more than a couple of seasons. It is now outside and I put some straw around the inside edges and a small layer across the bottom. The heater seems to be working as it should. It took awhile to get it assembled, but it is very attractive and I'm hoping the two feral cats will make use of it as I can't stand to see them outside in this blistery weather and they will not let me close to them to bring them inside. Aside from the poor instructions and a few screws, I would still recommend this cat house. It is large enough for at least a couple of cats and worth the money.

Home for the Feral Cat
This was purchased for the feral cat at work. I was pretty surprised, but he began to use it right away. Now I don't have to worry about him freezing to death in the mountain winter. The maintenance man attached it to a pallet to keep it weighted down. It also might float in a flood... Money well spent it is well made and looks durable. Asphalt shingles on the roof means it will be waterproof and retain heat. The maintenance man said it was easy to put together.

Great house!
I was so surprised by this little house. The quality is excellent! Very easy to assemble. Roomy inside and the roof lifts up for easy cleaning. I added a wall of insulation. This was for a senior feral stray cat that showed up on our property. I had it outside at first and it did not leak in the rain. Now the house is in our shed and our new friend can stay safe and warm in our shed. Highly recommend this little house!

It will do the job
I recently purchased this item for a stray cat in our neighborhood. I had seen this product listed from different sellers on Amazon and ultimately decided on from this seller. We put it together last night and here is my official review. It was generally easy to put together, it took my husband and I around an hour. However, the instructions said “Panel A” yet none of them were labeled. The sides and top were pretty straight forward so we figured it out. I had read that the house tends to leak, so I put some weather proof protection on all sides of the house (see photo). The bottom panels just pop in, but there are some pretty big gaps (see photo) so I used painters tap to “seal” them. Then we placed two garbage bags over them to better keep out moisture and the cold air (see photo). There are “pre-drilled” holes so you can see where you need to place your screws. However, the hinge that opens and closes the roof didn’t seal on the original placement, so we had to tweak that a bit. The wood also doesn’t seem to want to connect when screwed (if that makes sense). There were lots of times where we’d have to take the screw out and re-do it. The wood also did split a little in different areas. I had also seen reviews of the smell. There is a smell to the house. It smells of paint not it’s nothing that I think wouldn’t go away with time. I did have to trim the plastic flaps on the doors a little so they would not get stuck. I also had to screw one into the side of the door to keep it down, yet the other ones are fine. The “insulation” is nice. However, the bottom of the house still feels firm and there isn’t much cushion. We’ll probably buy some straw (not hay) to put on the bottom for comfort and to regulate heat. I do like the fact that the installation covers the entirety of the cat house. It also zips up for easy installation and for cleaning. Overall, I think this is a fine cat house for the strays in your neighborhood. It is big enough to where you could put a small food bowl inside (I’m scared to put water since it might tip over). You’ll probably need to get something to fill in the cracks to keep out the cold air. I recommend the insulation cat house over the other without it. Especially with the cracks in the floor and how hard the wood is. If you are considering this house: please remember not to place blankets, towels, fleece, or even a pet bed in the house. If it were to get wet and cold, it will freeze inside the house. Hay will also hold moisture and may freeze. If you are looking into something that will regulate body heat and stay dry: always, always use straw!

Sturdy, well built, big barn cat fits well and LOVES it!
Well built, sturdy and roomy outdoor cat house. One of our barn cats is quite large, he fits in the box perfectly. He loves the heating pad, is often inside the house when we head out to feed in the morning. Heating pad heats just when the cats lay on it, so no waste of energy. Put it on top of a planting table in a protected spot against one of our barns. He uses it more now that we put the house up higher. He was not so willing to use it when it was down on the ground; he probably feels safer up higher. Perfect for our Dallas TX location.

Well made, will last
Ordered for a semi-feral cat that's been hanging around my house. It's very well made and semi easy to put together, although the instructions could have been better. It's well insulated and the heat mat works well. My little feral friend loves it
