Paper shredder
I bought this to go through papers. I love that you can put a good size stack of papers in there. It slows down if you put a lot in there at once, but it still gets the job done. I have used it quite a bit and it’s still going strong.

Useful for Small Jobs, Less so for Big Jobs
This is an efficient, compact, and quiet shredder that provides good value for home use. For individuals who routinely shred either voluminous or numerous documents, this shredder regularly "overheats" and shuts down for 40 minute intervals. While the device indicates that it can handle stacks of ten pages at a time, doing so repeatedly will rapidly cause the machine to overheat and shut down. For example, in my experiment shredding a 100-page document in 10-page increments, the machine indicated an overheat error midway through shredding pages 40-50, and shut down for 40 minutes. In other words, if you need to shred the occasional piece of mail or handful of small documents, this is a good choice for the money, and I am rating it as such for that purpose. This is just meant as a warning that it is not suitable for office use or for individuals who regularly need to shred large or voluminous documents.

Cool shredder
Absolutely love the shredder. It's compact; easy to use and shreds into very small pics. Shredding credit cards is a breeze. So much easier then cutting them up with scissors. I had read in previous comments that it tends to overheat. I typically shred 5-6 pages at a time and no problem with it overheating. I ran it for 1 1/2 hrs straight without it overheating. Definitely well worth the price. Would highly recommend it.

A Disappointing Performance
As someone who values privacy and security, I was excited to purchase the Bonsaii 10-Sheet Cross Cut Paper Shredder for my home office. However, after several weeks of use, I am extremely disappointed with its performance. I hope my detailed review will help others make an informed decision before investing in this product.Firstly, let's discuss the shredder's build quality. Upon unboxing, the Bonsaii shredder appeared sturdy and durable. However, after a short period of use, I noticed that the shredder's motor emitted an unusual noise, suggesting a possible defect in its construction. This noise persisted despite following the instructions for proper usage and maintenance.Moving on to its shredding capability, the Bonsaii shredder claims to handle up to 10 sheets at once. Unfortunately, it struggled to shred even half that amount without jamming. Constantly having to clear paper jams became an incredibly frustrating experience, wasting valuable time and interrupting workflow. Moreover, it failed to shred credit cards, staples, and paper clips effectively, despite the manufacturer's claims. This limitation greatly hampers its usefulness, as many individuals rely on shredders to securely dispose of these items. The shredder's capacity is advertised as 5.5 gallons, but this seems misleading. In reality, the bin fills up far too quickly, requiring frequent emptying. It is time-consuming and inconvenient to pause work to constantly empty the bin, particularly when working on larger shredding tasks. Moreover, the bin lacks a user-friendly design, making it difficult to remove and reattach properly.Additionally, the Bonsaii shredder features a transparent window on the front, supposedly for monitoring the bin's fill level. However, this window is poorly designed and often becomes foggy or smudged, rendering it useless. It's frustrating to have a feature that doesn't serve its intended purpose. One of the most important factors to consider when purchasing a shredder is its security level. Unfortunately, the Bonsaii shredder's cross-cutting mechanism fails to meet expectations. The shredded pieces are larger than anticipated, making it relatively easy for someone to reconstruct sensitive information. If privacy and security are your primary concerns, I would strongly advise against relying on this shredder to adequately protect your confidential documents. From a personal experience standpoint, using the Bonsaii shredder has been nothing short of a hassle. Its constant paper jams, noise issues, and subpar performance have made the simple task of shredding an unnecessarily frustrating endeavor. Instead of enhancing productivity and providing peace of mind, this shredder has become a hindrance to my work routine. In summary, the Bonsaii 10-Sheet Cross Cut Paper Shredder fails to deliver on its promises. Its poor build quality, frequent paper jams, limited capacity, ineffective credit card and staple shredding, and inadequate security measures make it an unreliable and unsatisfactory choice for any home or office setting.I strongly advise potential buyers to explore alternative options that offer better performance and value for their money. Investing in a more reputable and reliable shredder will save you time, frustration, and potentially safeguard your confidential information more effectively.
