Pleasantly brighter than anticipated. I was happy with that.I bought this because I am rooting some cuttings, and had read that these lights will help with that.But what made me laugh is that my houseplant, which sits nearby, started to dramatically perk up and look much better than it has done in years! A pleasant accidental side-effect. So far the cuttings (azalea, and cherry tree) have retained their leaves for over a month giving me hope that they are busily creating some roots down there under the soil (fingers crossed). This is my very first attempt to grow plants from cuttings, but so far, so good. I manually switch this light on in the morning, and then off again about 12-14h later every day. Amazingly it does not give out a lot of heat (which is great because it would dry my cuttings out if it did). LEDs are the way to go, for sure.

Really good bright light. Good amount of heat. Helped my plants a lot. You can see it from down the street.
