A good sequel
This is a very exciting book to read. It keeps the action building though out the book. It started and finished fast. All I all it was a good sequel to the previous books.

Very good, highly recomended
So I have very much enjoyed this series so far, its one of the more realistic takes on possible war with china out there. That said, its not exactly Tom Clancy. This particular book is eswentially a giant battle told from a dozen different perspectives. You dont really care about any of the characters involved, and it only flashes to the President a couple of very short times. The battles are very detailed, accurate, and vivid. Again, i recomend it. However this book doesnt tell much story, your just reading a battle unfold, so if thats not your thing i would dodge it.

Ending is abrupt and rushed.
I was reading along when the book just abruptly ended in the middle of something missile attack. The story was good, writing follows military style and keeps you engaged. But the abruptness of the end is hard to get past. And not knowing is this is the final in the series for sure, we'll it is annoying. When I got the first book, my understanding this was a 3 book series. So the question is, did that change or did this series now end with war in full swing?

Over The Top
The headline says it all. This is one of the best novels of it's type that I've read. You feel like you're in the middle of the action, in the air or on or under the water. The author does a great job of providing both sides viewpoint using different characters as the situation evolves. Can't wait for follow-up.

Another great read
John O'Brien has hit another home run with this series. The action is well-defined and is non-stop. When the book end, you are wanting the next book right away. Author does an excellent job of providing a short summary of the series so you don't have to waste time going back and doing a re-read first. Mr. O'Brien continues to demonstrate his ability to write different genres with authority and in a way to draws the reader in. Keep up the great work!

Quite a Ride!
I really liked this add to the series. As others have said it ends rather abruptly but by then I was expecting it. (was at 96% and clear it was going to need another book). The author better be far along. :)Excellent descriptions of air and sea and under the sea battles. Very enjoyable. Not a tremendous amount of character development, but enough (maybe fewer people with more?).Need the next one!

First rate
This is as good as Red storm rising, and that's the standard! Now, you must simply learn to write faster.Great books are all about the details and this is where the Arthur excels. This is a solid war book.

Bonne lecture
A date, les livres de cet auteur sont de bonnes qualités et valent la lecture. En espérant que celui-ci continuent cette série en plusieurs volets car le sujet est très vaste.

Getting better At His Craft
This is the 3rd book I have read by John O’Brien and his writing has improved with each book. The story thread is plausible and engaging in his Tipping Point series and I have enjoyed them all.One point I will make for he author is to stick to one name for the character. The instance I am referring to his an F15 pilot known as William in one paragraph and referred to as Gerber in the next paragraph. I had to go back and find out whether it was a different character.I enjoyed the writing of Harold Coyle and Tom Clancy. They had characters that lasted through the book and my request would be for more character development; but whom am I to say, I’m no author.I look forward to the next book in the series.

VERY REALISTIC
Gives an interesting insight as to how conflict will now be conducted. Also interesting is that the author keeps the characters at an impassive level with no heroes saving every day.Seems to be a good lesson of modern day tactics.A very good, informative read.
