Even cutting edge, all around solid
I've bought some other cheap punches where the cutting edge itself was a bit warped or uneven but this one is perfectly flat and makes a perfect cut every time

Easily makes clean and accurate holes on paper, thin plastic, leather, felt, etc.
I bought this product, in the 20mm diameter size, as a means to punch a lot of holes in sheets of laser-printable plastic sheet, in order to make small flag labels for "flux/oiling bottles; writing on the bottles directly, or affixing adhesive labels was not going to work well. I thought about using an X-Acto knife to cut out the circles, but it would take a long time that way and I would get sloppy holes. This punch made the job easy. I printed alignment holes, slightly smaller than 20mm, on the label patterns. Looking through the side port of the punch, it was easy to see inside the punch and align it to the printed circle, which appears to be just slightly inside the cutting edge of the punch. I used a scrap of Masonite as a backing material, but could also have used any firm (bit NOT hard) expendable material such as some leather, etc. I found that a "double tap" with a hammer worked best. With one hand holding the punch firmly onto the label, an making sure that it was not tilted on edge, my other hand held a hammer. One light tap to make sure that I was going to hit the top end of the punch (and not my hand), a second strong blow to to the actual punching. I found that, while several lighter blows did work, the punch tended to bounce a tiny bit sideways after each blow, to I was punching holes that were slightly oval. The punched circle of material always ended up being inside the end of the punch, and it was quick and easy to dislodge it by poking my little finger through the punch's side port. I did measure the resulting punched holes, and they were spot-on 20mm, quite accurate. Since this is an inexpensive punch, and is made from carbon steel but apparently without being hardened, I can't speak for long this punch will last. If I were a professional or serious hobbyist who would do a lot of punching, I might wish to buy a more expensive punch(s), bit for occasional use I think this is a good product. One caveat, this steel is untreated. I presume that the sharply ground cutting edge will rust over time, and worse in a humid environment. I am thinking of buy a few more sizes of this, and keeping them all inside some kind of gasketed box with a desiccant pack inside to keep it dry.

Works great
Works great for cutting out .45 black powder revolver wads.

Good hole punch
I like not having to find a machine to punch holes in my leather or faux leather. My only problem is the faux leather with fabric backing is harder to cut through. Otherwise, I've already made several pairs of earrings using earring blanks, leather and resin. New items to my inventory for selling.

Worthless do not buy unless you want to sharpen it yourself.
Trash would not even cut through paper after 4 or 5 large hammer whacks. Completely useless.
