Item does not work. Manufacturer stated that this comb will kill fleas in addition to lice. My dog had a flea problem this year. Brought this comb to help eliminate my dogs flea problem. Tried this comb for four days. Not once did it detect or kill any fleas. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to detect and kill fleas using this electronic comb, I followed up using a manual fleas comb that removed numerous fleas on first pass. Tried to returned the item only to find out the the vendor does not accept returns. Losing faith in amazon. Amazon is not what it used to be.

I think the model shows a red light when a lice/ louse/ nit is detected, I do not think it has a "beep" feature that some people are waiting to hear. I saw the red light on my daughter's head and then I saw the crawler! So it worked for us to know that we had lice. I am not a 5 star fan just yet- but may be in another week, and I can repost then- but after treatment, it still shows a "red light" and I am not sure if that is just because perhaps we still have chemicals in our hair (it says it does not work in combination with treatment) or if is really still killing MORE lice (after combing thoroughly, I am not finding any on any heads!) At any rate- it detected a lice for us which is the purpose I needed!

We’ve had a heck of a time with lice this year. Got rid of them a couple of times only to get them again. We minimize interaction with the likely source significantly for now. Each time took multiple treatments and extra combing to eliminate.This last time, I did Fairytale products, then Licefreee - twice a week apart, then the electric comb. I think the Licefreee was the most effective, and following up a week later with the zapper did the trick. There were maybe 6 adults when I used this comb. When they hit the comb right, they died instantly. The comb is a little awkward to use, but you get a groove going and it’s fine. The led light on the front of it was very helpful, but the magnifier didn’t help much, I think it’s too small. If you have good vision and want a magnifier, get some cheap reading glasses at 1x - 1.5x magnification. The cleaning brush was moderately useful. I do like that it has a cover. My child never felt the zaps.

description sounds good -- too good to be true, perhaps -- but the teeth are not fine enough to catch nits, and we didn't hear a single 'beep'...

Instead of combing through the hair, this little gadget just rips the hair out. Terrible product, and I am sorry I wasted money on it.

Does What it says. My kids don't complain. I'm a satisfied consumer
