Q: Does this cup leak？

No. To ensure it doesn’t leak , switch the water dispenser button to “locked” and ensure that you have a tight seal on the mouth of the bottle. There’s a round silicone seal that helps make sure there’s no water leakage.

Q: How much give is there in the button? The button feels very stiff and hardly depresses. I can't seem to get water out. Is this a user error?

You move the button slightly to the side to unlock it. and then press down with the bottle slightly tilted down and water flows out
