Russian Modern Electric Samovar Teapot Set Khokhloma Design Tea Kettle Teakettle

This samovar is beautiful and generally works quite well. However, I am uncertain if this was a flaw in my particular item or if it’s part of the design, but my metal was slightly oval shaped rather than circular so that the lid does not fit on exactly. It still fit well enough though for me to make tea. I have not had any other issues with and have generally been satisfied. I will note that this was larger than I realized it would be and the teapot is one-two serving, so I have now learned to keep the water hot while emptying and refilling the teapot so I am not using so much water for a small amount of tea. But that is just part of the standard design. Also, when I ordered this samovar, it came with a bonus high quality Russian fur hat, which definitely made the price more worthwhile. I recommend this if you know what you are getting into and want a beautiful statement piece in a traditional decorative pattern. It is not however the most efficient way to make tea so I have now ordered a separate stove-ready tea kettle for my non-Russian tea.
