So freaking adorable! Makes me think of my childhood. Very easy to get it together and up and running. Workmanship is on point. Just FYI you do need to purchase the double D batteries separately, which is not hard. One thing if I could change would be the number of times the bird goes cuckoo, I wish it cuckooed 5 times if it was 5'o clock instead of the same standard recording that plays every hour. Still precious, my children get so excited every time the bird comes out.

Finish is cheap plastic and the mechanism was not good, bird chime was not great. It is expensive and no resemblance to original cuckoo clocks. It uses quartz clock, really cheap quality. Will not recommend anyone to buy!

This is a wonderful, very practical and reasonably priced Cuckoo clock. Our 4-year old granddaughter just came up with the idea of wanting a Cuckoo clock from Santa (none of us have any idea where she came up with that idea) so we did our internet research and found this one. She loves it and we liked it so much we bought two of them - one for her house and one for ours. Very simple to operate, no major installation issues (just add batteries) and love the light sensative switch which keeps the sound off until daylight.

When I got it, the little coo-coo's jaw was stuck open. It took a few hours of work to take it apart and put it back together (thank goodness I have the skills), and it works great. Looks really good. It's all wood except for the clock face and the main coo coo part (plastic). it may be a bit hard to read at a distance as the gold easily blends in with the dark wood color of the clock face (not a lot of contrast.) I am not thrilled about the coo-coo echo sound, but ALL ELECTRONIC COO-COOs have this...its literally all the same recording for all of them, regardless of brand or model. The only way to get the authentic old coo-coo clock sound is to actually shell out the big bucks for a mechanical coo-coo. This clock is definitely worth the money, but I feel like they owe me a little bit back for the repairs I had to make.

Was pleasantly surprised that the clock was bigger than anticipated and very simple to put together, just to install pendulum, and 2 pine cones on chain. Requires 2 "D" batteries not included. Works, look and sounds great.
