It Will Take Some Practice and Patience, but for Permanent Hair Removal Its Worth It.
This product came with everything but the 9 volt battery. The instruction pamphlet was descriptive, short and straight to the point. Its safe to operate because you are in control of the dial. It ranges from 1 to 10. I started off on a one and was able to work my way up to three within a couple of hairs.*Just make sure your not using it while soaking your feet, in the tub, or any other place where theres a basin of water. The set up is simple. Ive listed a few tips and things to look out for.To get started make sure your area is clear and your environment is free of distractions. You will need to focus on being precise for this.If you have some alcohol go ahead and wipe your pen, stylet, and tweezers down.Next youll want to put in your battery and prepare your salt water.I decided to wash my hands and face and pat dry with a clean paper towel. But you can get started as long as your hands are clean and your tools are sterile. The first thing you’ll want to look for is a beeping sound. I didnt see a whole lot of descriptions addressing this. It means that the pen is delivering an electrical current. The trick is to make sure that you feel a “tingling” or a “pulsing” sensation. This lets you know youre directing the current towards the follicle. This device works by zapping the follicles blood supply to prevent regrowth. When Done Correctly, Hair Removal IS PERMANENT!Lastly, you want to make sure to feel a tingling sensation and not stinging. If the skin is turning dark around the hair but no fluid is released from pore, you may be burning your skin. If this happens just remove your stylet (micro needle) from your skin and reinsert in a different position until you feel that tingling/pulsing sensation.Remember to be gentle, not only for your skin but also for your stylet, the needle is very small and delicate. You may bend or break it without great care.In the event it feels uncomfortable, its okay, just turn down the dial until you can handle it.If you dont get it within a couple of tries just be patient with yourself. You’ve probably had that hair for a long time, giving yourself a couple of days to find your groove is perfectly fine. You’ve already taken the first step by doing something about it.Becoming impatient with this device will cause you to burn your skin. If youre not trying to draw more attention to the area, its best to give yourself a little more time.Just make sure when youre done to do some after care with some non-comedogenic products. After your sessions you can apply a light moisturizer, but avoid the area you treated if there are exposed pores. If you must to go out, apply sunscreen!!This product delivers permanent results, and is an excellent trade for such a small price. If you are tired of waxing, picking, and plucking, then this is the device for you!

Waste of money
I have tried a couple new sets of batteries. Will not power on. Read the manual followed the instructions and it just does not work. Wont even do the “buzzing” when you touch the plate on the device with itself as instructed. Waste of money.

Issue with stylets provided!
I have minimal hair growth on my upper lip. I do not need professional electrolysis. This product addresses my concern at a reasonable cost. My only issue is the two stylets provided. They were both bent when I opened the package. Problem got worse when I did a single treatment. Tried UNSUCCESSFULLY to straighten the wire with tweezers as instructed in the Instruction Booklet. I'm requesting that additional stylets be provided to me at no additional cost. Otherwise the product is unusable.

It really works
This is a simple product that is very effective. Many, many years ago I found this product in one of the pharmacies I frequented. And then, they were no longer being sold. So, I was thrilled to find the very same product online.I am in agreement with the last positive review that it is effective but just takes a little patience at first. The instructions are accurate and simple to follow though it's true they don't mention a sound that emanates from the device when the electric current has found the follicle and is working. My one gripe is that the machine I received takes a while, once I've turned it on, (I now turn the dial to number five) to start kicking in. Other machines may kick in more quicly. For me, It can take a while. If I were a new user to the product I would absolutely believe that it didn't work and understand some of those who say it doesn't. But, it does and will. And don't be afraid, either. You really can't hurt yourself. If your skin does burn a little from the current it's very minor and goes away quickly. Just practice, be patient, it's easier than it might seem. Insert the needle as closely to the hair as possible and in the direction of the hair growth. If the machine doesn't start making its high pitched beep just wait and try again. It will eventually kick in.Each hair follicle has three life cycles but you will notice after a couple of hair removals that the hair begins to come in much finer.when your done, turn off the current and with a cotton ball and alcohol clean the needle and the metal bit you're meant to hold with your fingers.

Didn't Work For Me
It applies electricity even when turned off and seems to be the same strength no matter what the power setting is. The needle is too big for me to fit in most of my hair follicles, but I did manage to get it into a few after a lot of struggling. I did each of those few for two 10 second intervals (the most you are supposed to do without time to heal) while moving it around like the instructions say to. It bubbled and foamed up in the hair follicle, but the hairs were all still attached afterward. I don't know what else to say other than it was painful and left marks that had to heal for nothing since I lost no hair. I have fine, blond hair. Maybe if you have thicker, coarse hair you might have wider follicles for inserting the needle into? Best of luck to you if you try it too.
