Duralex LYS Stackable Tempered Glass, Clear

The set is small, but very handy, and the lids are convenient. Despite the thin, lighter weight glass, they seem exceptionally sturdy as the bowls arrived in perfect condition despite the fact that they were sent in just the actual product box (not intended for mailing in) with a mailing label on it, and the bowls were nested in each other with no dividing cushioning, glass on glass. So that's got to say something about the great quality of these bowls! The lids are super sturdy, but not exceptionally tight fitting.With that said, the one complaint I would have, and taken one star off for, is that the 'Duralex' name is in raised glass on the inside of the bowls, so if for example you use a metal spoon in the bowl, the metal catches on and grinds across the raised 'Duralex' name. Why they didn't put the name on the outside of the bowl is beyond weird. Because of the raised glass name I do not use these for a whole lot of mixing, and when I do, I try to use a wooden spoon. I do store left overs in them, and as we do a lot of soaking of beans and grains overnight, these bowls are the perfect size for that, and the lids keep out any bugs that could be attracted to the standing water.All in all, I would buy again simply for the sturdiness and usefulness.

The bowls are a useful range of sizes, from quite small to a good mixing capacity, and they are attractive with a subtle moulded-stripe detail; they are also safe for a hot oven, which is useful for making crumbles etc. The lids are a pleasant colour but I find them stiff and somewhat difficult to push down -- I often end up turning the bowl and lid over so the lid is pushing against the counter, since this helps get the lid on. But I can't do this with all contents, and the lids in any case have a habit of popping up in places, so the bowl is still covered but it's certainly not airtight nor completely secure. This is odd, considering that similar products, with or without lipped rims, have lids that go on easily and stay on. If having secure lids is important to you, and/or you have arthritis or weakness in your hands, you may want to consider buying the Pyrex line instead, even though the Pyrex bowl range starts and finishes with a larger size than the Duralex (a point in Duralex's favour, for my purposes).

High quality bowls and lids that fit well. I love the different sizes. The largest bowl is perfect for rising bread dough. I'm very happy with the set and I've recommended them to others.

I needed new mixing bowls, and at the same time, it felt like our stacks of Tupperware and Pyrex storage containers had gotten out of hand in our small kitchen. I decided to start new with these.These are pretty, durable bowls that can be used for mixing/prep, serving, and storage. I like the idea of having one attractive set of bowls that can do everything. They take up little room, and stack well.The lids fit well and seem to be plenty strong and flexible. The only nitpick I have is that the lids fit very tightly and can be hard to put on, though they'll probably loosen up over time. I'll update this review if they start to crack or break, like I've experienced with some brands - but I've been using them often for about a month, and so far they're in perfect shape.Since the largest of these bowls is only 2.5 quarts, I did add a 3.5 quart bowl from the Lys Clear Stackable Bowl series. They're the same style, and they stack perfectly.

These bowls helped us out at Thanksgiving time. We now have enough mixing bowls and able to store whatever due to the plastic lids provided. You can nest them but not with the lids on. A large plastic bag handles that chore. Also since they a re clear you can see whats inside without having to , open the blue plastic lids off.

I purchased these bowls here on Amazon instead of directly from their website since they were cheaper and when I received they appeared either used or defective. The bottom of each bowl had small black scratches on them that wouldn’t come off. I ended up returning and purchasing a set from the website even though they were more.

Easy to use, clean and store. Best part the lids after many washing still have their color, shape and most importantly their seal. Recommended and keep recommending this product!

Bowls are well made and identical to more well known Pyrex brand. The fact these come with matching rubber tops is why I bought it . Gives me flexibility in the kitchen. Can prep, serve and leftovers go sealed into fridge so less dishes. Love the variety of sizes. I find myself using them all depending on if I’m making a salad for 5 people in my house or simply a sauce or dip for smaller bowls.I also like the fact that when you pick or grip the bowls there is a rimmed edge around the bowl so it feels sturdy when you hold it and easier to rinse with a good grip. Took a little longer than usual with delivery but it wasn’t a rush. Pyrex is good too but they charge like crazy for the tops so this set made more sense .

I like these bowls with lids for ease and convenience. I just wish the set included a larger bowl.

The lids are high quality. The bowls are a nice variety of sizes, although I would like one larger one as well. The bowls arrived well-packaged and very quickly. Just what I wanted.

These bowls stack nicely. The lids fit well and make it easy to store leftovers.
