Don’t miss/lose the rubbery ring on the spigot!
Does exactly what it should. We keep it on the counter for the kids to get water easily. It leaked a bit after I cleaned it but I quickly discovered that I had dislodged the little rubbery ring from the spigot (it was on there but I hadn’t noticed it while washing). Don’t lose that piece or it will leak because that is what seals it! Once I put it back on properly it was perfect no more leak no problems.

Leaking? I’ve got an easy fix!
The media could not be loaded. First of all, I love this Brita. It fits perfectly in my fridge, has great capacity, filters water quickly, water tastes great, etc. Highly recommend. After a few weeks of using this filter, it started leaking. First a little, then a lot. I thought it was broken. I exchanged it for a new one. Then after a few weeks, that one started leaking. I went down some Reddit sub threads and found a potential fix that seemed so obvious but easy, and it worked! If your filter starts leaking, let the tap “snap” back, instead of closing it gently. When closing it gently, the valve doesn’t always close fully, but it does when you let the tap “snap”.

Outstanding Water Filter
This fits perfectly into the refrigerator. The water always comes out crisp and clean. I have bought one for myself and one for a friend because it is such a good filter. It fits a lot of water for two people. The value is very good for the cost. Occasionally when it gets bumped and is full of water, the spigot leaks a tiny bit but that isn’t a huge issue.

leaks (update 2-6-25) fixed
I took the valve apart which is pretty easy because of the nice design and it appears that there was a particulate of some sort creating a space in the stopper that was making it leak, but one I cleaned the stopper it stopped leaking, this is a good company, they responded to my problem immediately, so I’v changed my review from a negative to a positive.I liked it for a few months, but then it started leaking and soaked my carpet and became worthless, they need to redesign the spigot, maybe a turn style or something that isn't as prone to leaking.

Leaks badly after 2 months
Bought this in July 2024 when I moved into my newly remodeled house with all new appliances, including a new fridge. I need to also clarify that I live alone - no kids - and I take very good care of my things (especially since everything is so nice and brand new!). This dispenser worked great the first 2 months. After 2 months and without doing anything to the spout (didn't remove it, didn't bang it in anything, nothing), it started leaking so badly I thought my new fridge had a leak from the ice maker water line or there was a defrost problem because there would be water all over my floor and inside the fridge. After this happening intermittently for about 2 weeks, I finally realized the spout on the dispenser has a slow drip and it was lasting about 1/4-1/2 cup of water. It doesn't drip all the time and for the life of me I can't figure out why it's so random because there's absolutely nothing on the door that could be hitting the spout when I close the door and there's nobody moving it (again, it's just me). I only fill a 20ox water bottle maybeeee 2x per week with this dispenser so it's not even getting used excessively (or even at what would be considered daily use). And it's not the neck connection that's leaking, it's the actual spout. I'm so disappointed because it got water all over my new floors and appliance and it'l was also a waste of money. With only 2 months of light use by one person, it shouldn't be leaking. I don't write many negative reviews but I made an exception for this Brita water dispenser. Save your money.

It only leaks when....
I was so excited to get this filter!! I grew up on well water that was always fresh and crystal clear! Then I moved to an area where I was told that we have our water trucked in (?) but have never confirmed. It's hard water, it smells like a pool and the taste is revolting! I know what normal city water tastes like, this ain't it! So I did research. This looked to be the 'bang for my buck' that I needed. Ordered it along with filter refills. The filters do exactly as they say. It takes the smell and taste out of the water no problem!! Unfortunately the spout, while in my refrigerator, would leak and at one point had the whole bottom of my fridge covered in water. I took it out of the fridge and set in on the counter with a puppy pad underneath it so I could try to figure it out. It sat there on the counter all night without leaking a drop. So that's where it stays. If I had to do it over, I'd have bought a "jug" style. But the Brita brand is awesome!!

Good size for family
I previously bought a smaller size of water dispenser, which caused a lot of inconvenience since we had to refill the water all the time. Now, this large capacity dispenser is perfect for my household. We can enjoy fresh and clean water easily. We don't have to constantly refill pitchers or buy a bunch of bottled water. The filter is same as before, providing same level of clean water. The setup is simple and the filter is easy to relace. Definitely worth the purchase.

Overall, this is a worthwhile investment.
Water capacity, durability, functionality, value for money, and filter speed are all important factors to consider when choosing a water filter. Fortunately, this particular filter is designed to fit into a refrigerator, making it convenient for those who prefer cold water. If you’re like me and enjoy having cold water on hand, you can simply place the filter in the refrigerator and use it to fill your water.Overall, this is a worthwhile investment. It’s a high-quality product that offers a range of features and benefits.
