The Darwin Awards III: Survival of the Fittest

These books r great I get one for each holiday or birthday for my dad so he can have the full collection and they are great. He tells me about the stuff he reads and them and its hilarious!!!

Excellent book to keep in your bathroom for toilet reading. If you're overly sensitive/prude this book is not for you and you should stop reading this review before I offend anyone... You stop reading yet? .. okay. So. One of the stories.. apparently something practiced in the southern states is to hook a cows heart up to a AA battery to make it beat while you use it as a organic Fleshlight. One incident someone got the bright idea to attach the power cord off a lamp and plug it into a 110/220 wall outlet to make it pump more/faster(?). Death by electrocution through the genitals from gratification via cows heart is baffling and still hilarious!!!

Hilarious and Sad as usual, recommend it to all. Whether you believe in creationism or evolution, I believe all will enjoy the tales

The Darwin Awards Ds never fail to entertain, as it is also often hard to believe the incredibly stupid ways these people founf to kill themselves without intending to. Like the clown who peed on the third rail and got electrocuted!

I loved the first edition of the Darwin Awards, but was a little disappointed by the second edition. The third edition continues the trend. I realize it may be tough to find enough stupid dead people that can be funny, but some of the stories should have never made the cut. There are a set of rules for being awarded a Darwin Award. I have difficulty understanding how one particular entry made the book as a winner based on the standard. Did somebody forget to proofread? While I liked the "not a Darwin Award" Chapter in the second edition, none of the stories were as entertaining this time. It is my hope that this is the last edition of the Darwin will be the last or a long time passes between the third and fourth books. This way some really funny material can be collected.

This is not our first Darwin Awards CD. Never fails to entertain.

Not as funny as the ones in calendars 20 years ago. Perhaps those were the selected best ones

Sister here - these books have been a hit with my brother from ages 12 to 20. Easy, hilarious, and a great present for sibling bonding.

This is a delightfully curated collection of very short true stories about how stupid people can get. The writing style is entertaining, as are the author's comments on each story. Because it hardly takes a minute to read each story, the book can be read in the briefest of intervals of free time. Warning: Several sections are adult-rated.

You can pick it up read a bit and put it down till the next time. While you are not appalled at the idiocy of some people you ae laughing out loud.

At the beginning of each book, details are provided as to what criteria is needed for people to qualify for a Darwin Award. Honorable mentions for those who came close. The books are easy to read and fun.
