My husband ordered this for me to use doing diamond dotz projects, It works great and has 3 choices of brightness. I will also be using this for other craft projects

I was so excited for this product to arrive! Upon plugging it in.....no light! So disappointed!

KACOLA A3s/B4 Light PadI have just received this light pad so I can not review longevity of this product, however I was pleasantly surprised when I un-boxed it to find that it exceeded my expectation of quality. This light pad has a very nice look and durable feel to it. The back (or shell) is a black textured matte finish plastic with the white plexi inlaid for the front. On the light pad to the left and top edges are rulers in centimeters and on the right side and bottom in inches (most light pads from overseas only offer cm ). The light pad has 3 settings of brightness and an easy to use touch button to cycle through and on/off. It comes with a USB -C to USB-A cable which is long enough to connect to my desktop computer under my desk. Also included is a rectangular magnetic clip / pencil holder and pencil.The packaging is nice and the light pad protected on all 4 corners with padding. It arrived in good condition but had one tiny blemish in the black painted plexi frame area which I was able to just touch up with a micron pen. It is nothing really. Some great things about this KACOLA B4 Light Pad- The price is great!- The size is perfect for me. Larger than an A4 but not as tall as a full A3 (more landscape oriented).- Looks great and durable.- 3 settings of brightness and easy to use touch button. Tested brightness for copying my artwork with sketch, mixed media and watercolor paper (all Canson).No con's at this time. The light pad is rated for 50k hours and has a 1 yr warranty, however there is no contact information. Humm...Well anyway, I am really happy with it so far.

I’ve been watching other artists use light boards for transferring their initial design to painting canvas or watercolor papers so I decided to give this a try. As soon as I started using this light board I realized why other people enjoyed using these so much. I LOVED using this light board! It is so easy to use and works so much better than I expected. I traced some images from a book and then tried the light board with watercolor paper and painting canvas.When using watercolor paper (140lb cold-press) I turned the light board to its highest brightness setting and I could see the tracing image very clearly and was able to transfer the image to the watercolor paper efficiently.When using painting canvas I used the highest brightness setting again and I could still see my tracing paper underneath it, even though it was a bit less obvious than with watercolor paper. But the light board was bright enough that I could still properly trace the image onto my canvas.The design of this light board is sleek. It’s very slim and it has just one button (in the upper left of the board) that turns the device on & off and that same button adjusts the brightness level (it has 3 levels). These features are intuitive and easy to use.The light board is powered off any USB connection; either connect the USB cord to your computer or into a USB power brick that you plug into an outlet. The included cord isn’t very long so you’ll need to be sitting near an outlet if you are going that route.The light board has ruler markings on the left side and bottom for measuring and sizing while you are tracing. It also comes with a magnetic clip that holds your paper in place while tracing. It was quite secure. The underside of the light board has rectangular cushions so that it sits securely on your desk when tracing.There are other uses for this device; my partner plans to use it to view slides from old photos. With the large light area this will be a useful tool for most any tracing project or anything that requires backlighting.I highly recommend this light board for anyone who wants to do tracing work. You will enjoy the large area of light and smooth surface for your work.

The media could not be loaded.  I am an avid diamond painter and have recently discovered the very helpful light board. I’ve tried others but I really like the size of this one. It’s perfect not only for very large projects (like the one in the picture) but for 30cm x 40cm projects. This light board can get pretty bright. It has 3 settings - low, medium and high. You get a USB-C cord with the board. I did try different USB-C cords I gave at home to see if they would work and I did have some success. The cords with a usb-a on one end works fine but if it has usb-c on both ends the board didn’t recognize it. It’s nice to know I can use another cord in case I lose this one. All-in-all a very good light board with a ton of uses for any artist.
