Columbia Women's Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped, Elk/Mountain Red, 9

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I originally bought these Columbia Women’s Newton Ridge Plus boots for a Halloween costume, and they looked great with my outfit — plus, I think they’re super cute. But more importantly, I quickly realized they’re incredibly comfortable right out of the box and keep my feet so warm — which is huge because my fingers and toes are always freezing in winter. We had almost 2 feet of snow in a week, and I wore these boots several days in a row to shovel and use the snow blower. Each time I was out in 10° weather and deep snow for 4–5 hours, my feet stayed completely warm, even just with normal cotton socks. I was also blown away by the waterproofing — after hours in wet snow, my boots looked like they hadn’t even touched moisture. These boots are now my go-to snow and cold-weather boots, and I’m seriously impressed with both the comfort and the performance. I’m excited to see how they do on actual hikes too, but for winter wear, they’ve exceeded every expectation. I liked them so much that I’ll be buying a comparable pair for my boyfriend!

These are great hiking shoes with no breaking in period. The toe box is high enough that my great toe isn't pinched from the top of the shoe; an issue I had with another Columbia style shoe. Great traction and easy to adjust for a secure fit. The color is pleasing as well. True to size.

These bad boys worked right out of the box. No issue breaking them in. They looked cool with the red laces, and i was able to trek across significant amounts of snow and hike through the Bernese Alps without my feet losing warmth or my feet getting wet. Good traction, and they offered some ankle support. They didn’t even feel that heavy tbh. I would recommend these if you’re going to be going hard in a rugged area for a few days. I do love them, especially with my inserts. I’ll update if they fall apart within the year or something. Sizing: I usually wear a 9, although sometimes I have to get a 9W to fit my toe box well. I was worried about getting a 9 because I was also going to be wearing thick wool socks. Very excited to see that the 9s fit like 9s and the toe box was quite accommodating. Did not have issues with a regular 9. For me, it fit TTS, but for others it may be bigger than expected. Idk. I’m just saying, these are good for my wide feet.

Exactly what I wanted & expected. True to size. Very comfortable & warm. I haven't worn them in rain or water yet but I feel like the waterproof claim will stand true as well. I got these while they were 49% off super great buy. Feels solid for hiking but not overly heavy or clunky.

99% of the time I'm a size 9..I read through the reviews and wasn't sure if I should size up or not. The only shoes I ever did that for was my Nike free run 5 where I ended up getting a size 10. So being a prime member, love the free returns, I bought 9 & 9.5. I'll be going with the 9.5. I feel the slightest amount of pressure, and my big toe against the top of the boot in the size 9. I think that extra bit of room will make it better for the week long camping we'll be doing in Iceland. And Yes the shoe is very stylish in person!! Will update my other review once my trip is taken (may 2017) to update on the performance. Updated after trip:: Amazing pair of boots. No time needed to break in. However sometimes it does rub against one of my ankles...definitely wear high socks. Overall still very happy with the quality, style, and price, especially as I am only a moderate hiker. I’d purchase again.
