I only wanted one of these to isolate the leisure battery on my VW t2 camper. I fixed it to the earth connection to prevent the power draining from the battery when not in use for a long time. It's quick and easy to fit and to use.

Perfect item as my old car is draining the battery flat So this cuts the power with a quick twist of the round knob. Note you will loose your radio code as it cuts all power.Good item and have a spare for another car too.

A very simple product, easy to fit, and works well.

These isolators connect directly to the negative earth terminal, and are shaped to fit this only.So if you have a vehicle with a positive earth they won't fit correctly (the positive terminal on batteries is not conically shaped).The post to which the earth cable fits could do with being vertical, not horizontal, thus keeping the cable in the same plane, rather than having to bend it to fit (if the cable is a dead-length fit you'll struggle to get it onto the isolator).These items are, however, effective provided you don't turn the knob too far when disconnecting, in which case it falls apart.Despite the manufacturers claims that these have a maximum engine size of two litres (from memory), they will take the current to start a 5.5 litre diesel engine if it fires immediately.
