I have a carbon fiber hood and had to unscrew it and rotate it so the the hydraulic part was on the bottom because otherwise my hood was not heavy enough to close. After rotating it. It worked perfectly.

Super easy to install love how it holds hood up give you little bit more room with the hood open. Great purchase

You really do get what you pay for and these are cheap crappy

My only gripe is the placement because it kinda looks funky hanging on the suspension studs, but I bought these for function, not looks and they work.

Got these cause the clip on a different brand came off somehow and they wanted as much for the clip as a new set. So got these instead. They feel sturdy and mount to the top of the strut tower. I messed up installing them at first cause the instructions are just a picture and didn’t see that the part that mounts to the hood, should have the part that the shock mounts to closest to the base of the hood. That was on me and was an easy redo. Even with screwing up, took a solid half hour to get both on and they are good to go. Will see how well they do with the heat a turbo generates.

The ball and socket will not seat so that I can put the lock pin in its hole! It should come already assembled.!
