Adding great value to my work out
I have been using this item regularly in my works outs for months. I like flexible items due to my limited gym space and this fits the bill. I like the number of different handles and adjustable weight. I like the number of different exercises this item allows me to do. It does leak a little bit of sand so I dont look up any more when using it for over head pressing.

Worth it
Absolutely worth it so I can workout in my own home with weights and not worry about damaging hardwood floors.

Love the sandbells but the zipper on the sandbag ripped during my first real workout session.
As said on the title, the zipper busted. The sandbells themselves are pretty cool nonetheless.

Balanced and versatile, built for heavy-hitters
This adjustable sandbag system is a serious piece of equipment. The 1000D military-grade fabric and reinforced stitching really hold up under intense workouts, and the no-leak sandbell design means I can adjust the weight on the fly without any mess. The comfortable, reinforced handles make exercises like farmer's carries and shoulder presses feel secure. Whether I'm training at home or outdoors, this system is versatile enough to keep up with any routine.

Awesome workout gear/system
Full disclosure, I mostly got this because I was interested in the sandbells, and I got 40 lbs. worth along with the bag. I had previously ordered the Hyperwear rucking backpack (not included with the set under review), and it says you can load up to 25 lbs. worth of sandbells in it for additional weight. Yes, yes you can, as you can see from my last two images. The sandbells themselves are great to work with. Just packing and unpacking the sandbag and backpack was a good warmup, especially for hands and fingers, for the workout I was about to do. Then I tried the sandbag out. I did a set of 20 cleans and presses with the bag fully loaded, which isn't that much weight for me, but the challenge of manipulating the bag, with the shifting sandbells inside, made it worth it. I also finished about half of the reps by slamming the bag on the floor, just to try it out. It's very slammable. I then did some side twists, like with a medicine ball, and those were great too. I put it aside then, but after my squats, I tossed it on my shoulders for a finishing set. It's too light for a proper squats workout, but it works really well for those. I thought at first it might be too small, but it sits across my shoulders well. It would be good for lunges. Really, if you use high reps you can get a complete full body workout with just this small size bag with 40 lbs. of sandbells in it. That is awesome, in my book. The sandbells themselves are good to workout with. You get one each of 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 lbs. I would actually prefer doubles of heavier weights, say two 12s and two 8s, which would let you do lateral raises. You can use the bag, of course, but you're limited to single-arm movements for the most part or power moves where 40 lbs. might not be enough. I guess, for me, the 80 lb. bag would be ideal, but I had a chance to get this one, and I like the size of it for travel, and I really love it. I can always add additional sandbells or get one of the bigger bags at some point. The bag itself is very tough, heavy-duty nylon reinforced with seatbelt-like strips. The handles seem very durable. One minor thing I noticed is that the zipper doesn't feel like it's that strong. It also has no pull on it. These seem like odd oversights given how overbuilt and robust the bag itself is, but it's not a dealbreaker or star-taker.Overall, this is an awesome piece of workout equipment that is super-versatile, especially since the sandbells work perfectly in my Hyperwear rucking backpack. The sandbag and sandbells are instant favorites of mine and highly recommended.

Not for the beginner but definitely for someone who is seasoned with workouts
The sandbags are very nice quality and I don't see any problem with them leaking and making a mess which is what I was worried about. The purpose of putting them in a duffel bag is to have more of an un-even weight distribution which makes your small muscles have to work in order to keep everything balanced. Weight machines are very controlled and good for beginners. Individual free weights would be the next step because you no longer have the support from the machine and you have to rely completely on muscle strength. This is a great system because not only to have the weight but now you have to add in balancing the sandbags in the bag. You can do cleans, squats, you can hold one of the sandbags like a plate for when you are doing good mornings or ab crunches. I used the 12 pound sandbag to do around the world over my head. It is easier to grab over a dumbbell. I really like the versatility of this.
