I had the wf 8865 converter in my 2007 Fleetwood bounder and replaced with the wf 9865 and it went in right where the old one was perfect. Took under 30 mins to take out and put back in. Mine is under one of my dresser drawers so a tight place. The converter was at my house the next day. Awesome service. Its only been in 1 day but everything os up and running. Again i would like to thank the company for the fast service.

This unit came standard in my 2008 Dutchmen 26' travel trailer. It worked flawlessly for over 5 years until I noticed a loud buzzing sound during a mid-winter walk-through. I shut off the main breaker to eliminate the noise. When I went back to troubleshoot and flipped on the main power, there was not enough juice to even turn on a light. I checked and recharged the battery using a 10 amp charger and the battery is good. After removing the converter I tested the output and it only showed about 1 amp thus confirming my diagnosis that it was shot. The unit is easy enough to replace and I decided to replace it with another WFCO since the price is cheaper than Progressive Dynamics and some of the other "superior" brands. BTW, this is an easy R&R job and I probably saved at least a couple hundred $$$ doing it myself vs. taking it to an RV dealer. Hopefully, this one will last another 5 years. UPDATE Feb. 2025 -- the replacement is still going strong after 11 years. I think possibly the original incandescent 12v lights were causing it to work much harder but I have long since replaced them with low-amp LEDs. I no longer hear the cooling fan run constantly when more than a couple of lights are turned on.

Don't waste your money having a service tech install this! If you can connect a dvd player to your tv then you can install this unit! 3 wire connections and plug it in. This unit was a direct replacement for the original, the hardest part was getting to it. Recommend checking your battery, mine was bad and I believe that's what caused the charger to fail.

I am a RV Tech and so I order a lot of items on Amazon. This one is a usual item I order, they don't last long if you let your battery die. So, make sure you have a good battery of this will try to charge a dead battery and then it will burn out eventually.

This 65 amp "Auto Detect "unit is an exact exchange for the factory standard 50 amp lead acid battery model if you are upgrading to a lithium battery and want a bit more capacity. It was an easy 15 minute install including tidy up. The "AD" you see in the model number, is important to note as the Auto Detect feature (AD) is required for the lithium battery detection. The "automatic detection" and "intelligent charging" management are required to safely and fully charge lithium battery cells. This is an industry leading brand with responsive tech support. I have used WFCO units on several successful upgrades upgrades.
