They have a little flex in the pads that helps them grip the wall. I think you could screw then in for extra stability but my strong toddler can't budge it as is.

Wall savers!
They don’t work with regular, arm functioning up and down baby gates. These work great for gates that are permanently fixed to the walls with a swing door.
