Q: Is the tent material and tent waterproof ?

The tent is made of polycotton (cotton mixed with polyester), without waterproof cover. If you pull straight the tent surface by wind ropes, rain drops can run down the tent to the ground and not into the tent. But the surface will still get wet and not suggest to touch your furniture. This mathod can only deal with small rain or middle rain, and will fail in heavy rain.

Q: Is this tent Water proof?

Kind of, but not really– it's fine in light rain, but anything heavier and you get a lot of condensation build-up on the walls/ceiling.
