PERFECT brace after knee injury!
This brace is incredible! I dislocated my patella 4 weeks ago and haven't been able to walk since. I'm waiting for my insurance to kick in and I really wanted to try some weight baring exercises and walking with crutches. Since my insurance hasn't kicked in yet, I cannot say for sure what happened when I dislocated my patella, but I'm thinking there could be a meniscus issue and an ortho I spoke to seems to think I could have torn my hamstring and ACL based on my symptoms. Let's just say-I was in a world of pain.I put this brace on and I felt instant relief and support! It's actually a very snug neoprene sleeve that slides on over your foot and the straps help it stay in place. It does not budge! The package says to only wear it for 3 hours at a time while walking, but I wore it for 6 while lounging around so it would conform to my knee. The next day, I was walking with crutches and even going down stairs-again, with crutches.I cannot recommend this brace enough! The hinges are silent and glide perfectly, the sleeve design keeps it from cutting off circulation and the straps ensure a great fit!

Great at immobilizing a bad knee
This is so sturdy and solid, it totally keeps the knee protected when I'm golfing or walking. Actually I bought an XL originally because my knee measured 17"; however I found it was really too tight, particularly when I tried to pull it off after a hot golf day. So I then ordered an XXL. It's a tiny bit too big however with the velcro straps, it fits perfectly and is easy to pull off. If your measurement is borderline, buy the larger size. I'm definitely taking this to Europe with me next month when we'll be doing a lot of walking

Finally found the ONE that works, except....
Tried soft sleeve first, support was too soft. Complex and pricey bilateral brace was too hard, this one seemed to be just right, until I walked 100 feet, and had to stop and pull it up. Walked one (small town) block, had to stop 4 times to pull it up. WHY HAVE YOU PEOPLE NOT PUT THE SILICONE SQUIGGLES (which make it anti-slip) ON THE INSIDE OF THESE LIKE ALL THE CRAPPIER BRACES HAVE? Great price point, professional looking, very well made and durable, with rigid (metal) support inserts and good compression. It has upper and lower velcro straps, (with rubber-like coating at the end), which I tightened to within a millimeter of threat of gangrene, but which sadly still didn't keep it in place. I think I'm going to keep it, because I tried it with a neoprene elastic support sleeve under it (Stable brand) and that support sleeve does have the grippy silicone squiggles inside. That seems to be working for now. It is easy to put on and take off, has handy finger pockets on each side that make it easy to pull up, lightweight and comfortable once I didn't have to cinch the velcro so tight. You're still going to want to wear some fairly loose/wide leg pants if you don't want it to be obvious you're wearing it, however, it is nice looking enough to wear with shorts and not look gastly, lol. I'mma hold that 5th star hostage until ya'll put the grippy stuff on the inside tho. Update: 3 weeks plus 4 days later. Have worn daily since it arrived, and now, even with neoprene sleeve brace is slipping down and having to be pulled up. Possibly, it is the sleeve that has become stretched and maybe not this brace, but wanted to update. It's not much of a problem around the house, but if exercising and trying to keep moving, it would be an issue.

Very comfortable. Has improved my walking with the added support.

Good side support of the knee, but disappoints in limiting hyper extension.
At this point, I am still evaluating it. I bought this to provide more support for my arthritic knee, and especially to limit hypertension, which seems to be my automatic response to soreness when putting weight on the knee and it is is not fully straightened. My sense is that it provides good side support of the knee joint, but is a bit too stiff in bending the knee, and inadequate in limiting hyper extension. I think if there were a way to adjust the degree of hyperextension, it might be great!

Best Brace Money Can Buy!
Bought a while back. I have chicken legs and my measurements matched the size for a small. If anything, I thought the small would be too big on my skinny legs; that is not the case. It is very tight, is a huge struggle to get it on and off, and I can only wear it an hour at a time due to the pain of the hinges digging into my leg. Like all previous knee braces, I thought it would stretch from wear over the months; it did not, which means it's of great quality, but also means it's not going to be fitting me better. I recommend also measuring the size of your thigh 4-6in above the knee and perhaps going off of that when deciding on a size.Despite the sizing, I am still giving it five stars and am ordering another in a medium (despite it not being prime and $10 more) because of how superbly it works for me. I have a genetic disorder, which has caused pretty significant hyperextension and frequent joint subluxations in both of my weak knees. From what I am seeing, those who are not experiencing significant relief from the brace are using it for previous injuries or general support, and not so much because of severe hyperextension issues. Ive had many braces for the past nearly twenty years, including ones for hundreds of dollars, and those did nothing for me. This brace is the way to go!
