Q: Will this red dot optic work on my Springfield saint ar 15 5.56?

Yes it will stay Zeroed on an AR-15. We have several mounted on Everything from 5.56 7” pistol, .300 blk pistols , carbines. Including car guns and 3 gun rifles. I frequently shoot out to 300 yards with one and have zero issues seeing or hitting the mark.Best budget for red dot.

Q: How do you get the shake awake to work ?

The red dot with MOTAC design.Will auto shut off if not moved for 1-3mins and automatically turns on when it is moved.

Q: What is the height to center of the glass, my magnifier is 1.55"

I'm not sure, because I haven't measured it, but the optic comes with a higher mount for coziness with my iron sights and a lower one like for an AK. I have a Monstrum Ghost 3x magnifier with it on my AR. You use the adjustments on your magnifier to center the red dot in it separate from adjusting the zero on your optic. Hope this helps
