CTCstore MicroSD / MicroSDHC & Memory Stick Micro M2 USB 2.0 Card Reader

This item did exactly what it was built to do, but after having it for about a month or two, I ended up getting a Vista from my dad. When I tried to interface the device with my dads computer, the card had a spat with the new OS, and locked my mini SD card into write protection hell. I ended up throwing away the mini SD card, and ordering another one. I wished I hadn't because I found out after I got the new one that it wasn't the card that was faulty, but this device had apparently found some way to break itself because my brand new mini SD card was also in write protection mode. I tried my card on a friends adapter on both my old XP which I had used with it a lot using, and the new Vista, and it worked fine, so the only logical culprit has to be this. I'm giving this item 3 stars because even though it ended up breaking on me, I have gotten good products that others complain about with quality, and I will admit that I may have been a little rough on it because I constantly carried it in my pocket, and I do tend to be active in my outdoor jeans. I will not order another one however, as I am looking for something sturdier than this.Pretty much, I would recommend this to some of my co-workers or family, but certainly not any of my friends. Pay a little extra for the extra protection from shock. I found it odd that even though it was obviously broken, and it's task is so simple and involves no moving parts, that the device even worked on my computer at all, even if it did lock my card. If you can take care of your adapter, you should enjoy a lifelong product.

This is the neatest little device I've ever seen. You insert your micro-card into the reader slot, put the whole thing into a USB port and you can use the micro card like a normal jump drive. Makes moving pictures, videos and songs from my cell phone to a computer very easy. Also very small, which would make it kinda easy to loose, except it comes with a great key chain ring so I just attached it to my other jump drives and was golden.

The product seems very cheaply put together. It is plastic and light and seems like it could easily break. BUT so far it hasn't broken, it works exactly like its supposed to and is perfect for those who don't have the SD adapter or an SD slot on their PC.

Works better than my other adapter that makes you hold down the microSD flash card sometimes for it to read.Still going strong.

DOA (it never did work).Has a nice clip on it.Still, a complete waste of money.This is one of those things where the shipping makes it a rip-off.The shipping is almost double the cost of the product, and you don't get that back if you return it, so the vendor makes money on the good ones and the bad ones.Bought a Kingston instead.

U can find them for under and dollar bet u cant find any better for the price, and it functions well.
