Arrived today. Put in a battery, but it doesn’t turn on. Tried another battery — still nothing. Needs “0” stars, but had to select “1.”

This was the least expensive and the same as more expensive units. Worth it, it works the same as others I have paid more $$.

Didn't work at first but if you smack it down on counter it starts up!

I ordered 4 of these at once. Unfortunately, only 2 of them worked. The other 2 would work when I pulled the white plastic out of the purple, metal tube, but they wouldn't run while inside the tube. I got a good price on them, so rather than paying to return 2 of them, I'll use them for spare parts. Lesson learned.
