This product falsely advertises "cooling." It cools no more than a fan would. The water container is too small to be of any use. It'll run out in a few hours.It says it'll run by batteries. I put four brand new batteries in, and it barely worked and shut off really quickly. I had to plug it in for it to run at full power. Even then, it did not cool the SMALL room I put it in, only made it more humid, and who wants that in the middle of summer?Piece of garbage, overpriced.

AND EVEN AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO IT WAS HARD TO SEE WHERE THE "WATER LEVEL" WAS - DUH, MY BAD ON THE FRONT OF THE MACHINE.WHEN I WENT TO RELEASE THE WATER, I TIPPED IT OVER BC THE WATER RELEASE VALVE DOES "NOT" RELEASE ALL THE WATER - I DO SUGGEST LETTING IT SIT IN THE SUN AFTER DRAINING THE WATER. Su publicidad dice que enfría rápidamente un cuarto, yo lo estoy utilizando en mi motorhome y tristemente no llenó mis expectativas, pues en un clima cálido no logra enfriar un cubículo de aproximadamente 8 metros cuadrados, no sentimos fresco en ningún momento, adicionalmente si se voltea se derrama con facilidad el agua.

Today is the 1st day i've used it. Its very hot here - almost 100F and humid. Even with AC my south west facing upstairs office can get quite warm when its this hot. Right now it is good but have curtains closed and it is only 10:30 am. I put it right on my desk with a small hand towel underneath incase any water vapor or leaks. After 3 hours - it is dry. The big thing is the cooling. Its ok. Its better than a fan, but its not real AC. The noise level isn't bad. I like a white noise machine anyway to drown out the summer noise with kids off school, so this works for that. The Water Max line is very hard to see. I over filled it first and had to drain dry and try again. Could make that easier to view. It is very small and light weight though - and the important thing is cooling - and it easily fits on my desk without cluttering it - so its 2 feet from me. I'll update later in the week after a few more days of this heat wave.

Its a tiny fan with a tiny water basin. Does not cool anything farther than 1ft away. Noise from the fan was louder than expected. Should have ordered a spray bottle with a fan instead, would have worked better probably. Also you aren't supposed to carry/ use it with the water in it tilted or anything but completely flat level. So not portable really.

I ordered this in hope of using outside for a little cooling during the Summer. We’ve had a cold spell so I’ll have to update later.In order to try this unit out I set it up in my kitchen on the counter. It was surprising how quickly it cooled the entire room and into the living room (approx. 400 Sq.Ft). I used tap water, I believe it would have been even better had I used Icewater.Very handy to have and reasonably priced.

I am so bummed that I cannot return this item, as the cooling on low works well, but the high speed doesn't work at all, and I have to put a towel underneath as the base of the cooler leaks. I wish I could return for a new one!

This item is no more than a glorified fan. It is probably my fault, because I thought it was one that you could use with ice cubes added. You can only add cold water, which does not increase the coolness very much at all. When they say you should put it close to you, they are not kidding. If I was more than 6 inches away from the fan, I felt nothing. If you want something to sit 6 inches from you, like on your desk, blowing right in your face, then go for it. Otherwise, buy yourself a fan and set a bowl of ice in front of it. You'll get cooled off just as much and so will your room.
