Providence Spillproof Scoop Plate - 9" Red and White (2 Plates)

After using another brand I thought I would try these for my husband. He has paralysis on one side. His unaffected hand trembles so trying to feed himself can be a challenge. These plates have a higher lip which helps hold food on the plate better. I also like the rubber ring on the bottom of the plate to help hold it in place. I will definitely be ordering more of these.

I'm an occupational therapist (retired) and I have always recommended some form of "scoop dish" for patients who have difficult feeding themselves. Now it's my own husband who needs some help. I ordered this set, after reading that the red one is good for spaghetti etc, which might stain the surface of the white one. My husband finds it easy to use and no longer spills food on the table. After reading some other reviews that mention the non-slip rubber ring at the bottom can fall out, I always hand wash it (even though it does say machine washable) because I want it to stay in good shape. So far, so good.

When I received these plates for my disabled husband I noticed an odor. My husband used it I washed it again put it in the cupboard. The next day I went to serve dinner and I opened the cupboard there was a strong odor. Kind of clammy that's the only way I can discripe it. I will return them I don't think it's safe other than the odor it worked well

I really like these plates! I had purchased $1 Tree microwave plates but they were a little flimsy. These aren't too weighted for my arthritic hands. I like that my food doesn't slide off the plate. They're very sturdy. I would highly recommend these microwave plates for anyone who can't scoop up their food without it going off their plates!

Perfect size,works great for stroke patients with only one arm 5 stars!!!
