Giraffe Hybrid Garden Hose 5/8" x 100ft, Custom Length, NO Kink, Flexible, Leakproof Hose with Male to Female Fittings, 600 Burst PSI

When the product was first delivered, I stated I was outraged because it took me over an hour to unravel the hose. Once I did, I found it was kinking significantly, and it was very difficult to wind it into a hose box. Therefore, I rated it poorly. Over time the hose relaxed and now it is a dream to use and to store!! It is indeed kink-free. My extremely harsh rating could have been avoided if a warning or instruction was initially given so I knew what to expect. I thought it important to update my opinion and rating.

This low-quality product is made with soft "hybrid" material that feels cheap and began to kink right out of the box. Ordered two of these and am returning both after a week - no small task as they are awkward to re coil. Have had hoses in the past for half the price that performed much better.

Second or third summer using these hoses I just keep buying another 50 footer to make mine longer. I accidentally yanked too hard and pulled one section apart put it right back together with the connector on the hose and it is fine. The black hose heats up the water in the summertime for a warmer pool. Hardly ever gets a kink unless I’ve done something silly. I have not put them away. They have sat out every day for two or three years.

The order arrived on the date expected (it was going to arrive a day earlier but that was interrupted by a holiday). A bit disappointed because the site said the hose was rubber; it turned out that it was a "hybrid" meaning there were other components besides rubber. I had purchased rubber hoses before by Goodyear that were definitely sturdier and of only rubber. The hose comes tightly wound so there were plenty of kinks until the hose was stretched out although in use it did kink tightly, unlike the heavier rugbber, which meant going back and undoing the kinks so water could flow. It wasn't cheap ($80) but less than a real rubber hose.

I like these hoses I have 3 in all different lengths they seem to be durable and hold up well

We got this to go on our portable hose carrier and it kinks up and twists so bad that we have to unroll the entire hose and twist it every time to use it without it kinking up.

This is the second Giraffe garden hose I've purchased in the past couple of weeks. My first one was 50 feet. This one is 100 feet. So far, I'm impressed with them both. They seem sturdy and well made, yet they are reasonably light to carry around. They advertize that they are "kink-free," and that may be true ... with a little help. When you are first unrolling the hose, make sure you untwist the various inherent turns/circles from shipping--because these will cause kinks in the hose. Once that has been accomplished, it does appear that these hoses are "kink-resistant," if not "kink-free."

I purchased this hose because it claimed it does not kink. The very first time I went to use it I unrolled about twenty five feet of it and connected it to a sprinkler. The hose immediately kinked in four places. I rolled it back up and blew the water out and sent it back. The site I bought it from was totally mis leading, I thouht I was buying a high quality hose. This is a terrible product and should be removed from the market.
