Stop choking your writing implement
I have carpal tunnel, I choke pens, needles, chopsticks, etc. Anything small, because my finger go numb and tingling. This allows me to write easily, while barely grasping my tool. Holds between the fingers effortlessly and comfortably. LOVE THIS TOOL.Expensive.

Works for my carpal tunnel (apple pencil)
I am a student and write a lot of notes. I love writing notes, but my hand hurts pretty bad soon after starting. This tool works by increasing control while decreasing the amount of grip strength needed to control your pencil/pen when writing. It also corrects your writing posture without being awkward and uncomfortable. Fortunately, it fits over an Apple Pencil, which is what I use to take notes more often than not. I take it off to charge it, but it’s not like you need to charge an Apple Pencil multiple times a day.

This helped my grip better so that my thumb didn't hurt while writing with pen.
I disliked that it only fits regular sized pens but I'm ok with that because there are lots of regular sized pens available in several stores. It was great with handling and writing. And it came with the pen in the image too which was awesome. I didn't expect that! I only expected the ring pen gripper by itself so it was so nice that they sent the pen too!

Life saving device
I've had this for a month and I love it. I just ordered two more.I have a problem squeezing anything with my thumb and this device completely eliminates the need to do that to hold a pen.It does take some getting used to since it feels a bit weird when you first start using them. It's designed specifically for either a stick pen or pencil, so if you use pens that are thicker than that you may have a little bit of trouble getting them in. But once you get them in it's great.I wish they sold them in multiple packs.

Not great for Wacom use
I've used Wacom Intuos pen's since 1997, for home and professional life, and take great care in protecting my eyes, back and hands while working on computers. I bought this solely to use with an Intuos pen, and for this, it is not the best solution. Not a huge deal-breaker, but you need to take the Wacom pen apart to squeeze it into this grip (see my 'FrankenPen' below). Remove both the Wacom's rubber grip and side button (or it will fly off anyway during the process), then wedge it into the grip following the included instruction. The side button piece can be re-installed and works fine. I don't use the side buttons, so this and the original rubber grip will retire to a parts drawer. In use it is not that bad, –takes some getting used to, –and is more comfortable for the hand than without. It also gives you a mysterious, super hero-like, hand look. Still, it's not the solution I'd hoped for. I also own one of those Ergo grips (specifically for Wacom pens) for home use, and slightly prefer that. For me, I want a slightly wider grip than both of these, but not as wide as those balls that are also available (a note here to both manufacturers to offer wider grips). Since this is an individual preference thing, give it a try, you may love it.

It was very difficult to figure out a comfortable way for her to use it
My daughter couldn't make head or tails of this thing. It was very difficult to figure out a comfortable way for her to use it. I showed it to her physical therapist and she gave me the "you've been had" look. The big pencil grips work much better for our needs and certainly doesn't cost as much!

Hard to use
It doesn't take anything except narrow pens. It is also difficult to get the pen in and out.

Great for a person with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Bought because of the trouble I have holding onto pens when I write. It is actually very comfortable.
