Great headlamp, overkill, you bet
I love lights and magnets. Seriously, ask anyone in my family and friends circle, they'll tell you how mad I am about lights. I have my house lit up with the highest rated bulbs that can fit my fixtures. SO, NATURALLY I'd look for the same thing in my headlamps. While not the brightest, I like the bar style over the individual cells since it has a better spread on itl. I bought the bar style. The thing about headlamps and why most of them are actually quite terrible in practice (especially in extremely dark situations) is they have a nasty habit of ironically making your vision worse. The circular segmented lights tend to create intense beams of ultra bright light, so it washes out the stuff it lights up and the way eyes work, anything outside of that extremely narrow cone of light is black, and harder to see than with them on.The bar doesn't have this issue as much. When you go full bright, it's a bit problematic and will white out the anything 3ft or closer to your face. You kind of have to put it on its weakest setting to be able to use it as a "work" light. Now, that's fixable with a frosted lense, but then you sacrifice brightness. I would recommend this style of headlamp for walking in fields at night, since you'll run into blinding issue sas it bounces off of forest trees. Again the only lights I've seen not have this issue are like the "Hurkins" or others that are a strip of LEDs that run the length of your forehead (or mine, since I have a GIANT head), though you lose throw with those. This excels in throw, but the beam can be much. Also the different modes are nice, annoying that it's one button cycle through the options style. What's nice about this other than the brightness being close if not at the brightness advertised, are the batteries. No special proprietary batteries here. Just standard Lithium round batteries, I want to say 18650 if I'm not mistaken. SO, if and when these go bad, since they'll die before the 5,000hrs of LED life gives way, you can swap them easily. Also, noticed, you don't need all the batteries in to operate it. Holds 4 but can operate with at least 3. Should in theory be able to operate with 1 in since they're all wired in parallel, or for capacity sake and not voltage sake.I recommend this for night operations that require throw due to excessive brightness. IF you need spread since you want a headlamp when you're tinkering with stuff, then go with the lightstrip (Hurkins) model.

What a Great headlamp
What a Great headlamp. I got this for when I walk the dog at night and it is Great. I live in the country so no street lights to help me see and its very dark here. This lamp even on the dimmest setting is bright enough to see my way. I love the adjustable lights so I can have the main light shine ahead of me and the 2 smaller ones shining down towards my feet to see the ground in front of me.I like the red led light on the back so that when your walking people can see you from behind. The light part is plastic but seems very well made. the band is like an elastic band to help fit more snug. It also has 2 areas were you can adjust the band for a better fit also. I like that the light can be removed from the band and with the added attachment this can be attached to your bike handlebars. Not sure i'll ever use it for that but cool that I can if I wanted to. All in all this is a Great Headlamp and at such a great price. I also love how easy it is to charge with the included home and car cables. Very glad I bought this one.

Good light, unreliable charger
To explain the photos, I charged the lights overnight (~10 hours) and then used the lights for 1 minute, full power. I then plugged the lights back into the charger. The attached photos display the charger (the red color is not accurately displayed, but what may look yellow is red). The first photo was taken after charging for 30 minutes and the second after 1 hour.Pros: (1) Light is bright, (2) Offer multiple light modes, (3) 5+ hour battery life out the box, (4) Center light can be adjusted between narrow and wider beam, and (5) rear light indictorCons: (1) charger visual indicator is not reliable. (2) Seller did not want to replace the chargersI purchased two lights, for my wife and myself. We use the light when we walk and run at night and I also use it when I work on my car in my garage. The light output is great, but my chargers’ visual indicator is not reliable. The light works great. I cannot verify the amount of lumen output, but my light is useful even during the day time when working on my car with the garage door opened. The light beam has multiple modes, center light only, two outside lights only, all three lights, and all three lights blinking. The center light can be adjusted to a narrow and wider beam. The charging unit is on the back of the head strap and provides a solid red light when the light is in use. The main issue I have with the light system is the charger’s reliability. The chargers have a single light to indicate when it is charging and when charging is complete. The default charger’s indicator color is green. The indicator is green when I plug the charger into an outlet without being attached to the light and if the charger is attached to the charged light, but not plugged into an outlet. I owned the light for a short time, but have seen the unreliability of the chargers’ visual indicator. There are times when I charged the light overnight (~10 hours) and the indicator remains red. There are times when I charged the light and the indicator returns to green. There were times when I noticed the indicator rotate between green and red during a single charge. I contacted the seller and asked if I can get a replacement charger or should I return the units. I was told I do not need to return the units, but I was not told I will receive replace chargers. I will contact the seller again and ask the same question. I will sent the units back if I do not receive reliable replacement chargers.
