NorthStar ATV Broadcast and Spot Sprayer - 26 Gallon, 2.2 GPM, 12 Volt

My broadcast nozzle is mounted 54" from the ground, and sprays 21 feet wide (from the grass to the planter in the photo). Both sprayers can be used at the same time. I purchased this to apply atrazine and 2-4-D amine weed killer on my lawn. It was everything I needed or wanted--after adding a recirculation/mixing loop (available as a NorthStar kit on Amazon). 26 gallons easily covered 2 acres, but you have to be quick. You only get about 15 minutes before the tank is empty. I am considering shopping for a broadcast nozzle with a finer mist and adding a rheostat to slow down and control the flow.

Sprayer has been installed in a cradle inside a pull-behind dump trailer/lawn mower combo. The broadcast sprayer/regulator was included. Although the ad states "26 gal," the last marking on the tank is at "24 gal." The marks need darkening with a black marker. They are in 4 gal increments. Been in use for one hour (two 12 gal apps). Pump maintains about 70 psi and about 20 ft reach with the spot sprayer. No problems with the spot sprayer. Have not used the broadcast sprayer - yet. Only nit, so far, is the drain hole. You will want to put a screw-on valve on this outlet. Draining these kind of liquids without control can be hazardous. Unfortunately, the outlet is angled such that a valve will not allow the tank to set on a flat surface. It must be elevated or set on an edge to clear the added valve.

I have had fix a couple of leaks. Nothing major. But now the boom valve will not completely shut off 😡 That will not work for me. Can't have brush kill leaking all over my lawn not to mention wasted product. So guess I'll have to plug it for now. I was only pumping twelve gallons to I just placed the boom nozzle back over in tank left lid off. I did replace the wand with a more reliable nozzle. The pump has great power I can spray15 to 20' with the new nozzle. Over all great product for the price. I use from a full size Polaris Ranger and the long hose allows me to spray from the cab, or get out and spray in all directions.

This sprayer is very nice! It was easy to assemble and instructions were very clear. it sprays about 12-15 feet and the broadcast sprayer spreads about 5 feet. the pump only kicks on when you squeeze the trigger on the wand which is a nice feature. I like that there are clips on the tank to hold both wands it makes for easy storing. It is very well built and nothing seems loose. The battery clamps were nice and tight on the battery of my utv and I didn't need to worry about them falling off. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who needs to spray a lot of land.

Very pleased. Good quality sprayer. I don't have an ATV, but it works great placing it on the tailgate of my truck. The straps it comes with aren't long enough for the tailgate, but I had other straps that hold it in place. I use the battery from my boat, but be prepared to charge the battery back up if you spray for very long. I sprayed 5 acres twice before I had to re-charge. Also, I like being inside the cab of the truck when spraying herbicides. Highly recommend this sprayer.

Spray 3 acres. This is perfect for my needs. Moving at 5 mph makes the job a quick process. Not to mention the spray width. I really like the wand too. Plenty of volume and distance. I would recommend for small farm use. Certainly beats the heck out of the wheeled unit I borrowed last spring and it was less expensive!

I bought this for my husband and he uses it regularly. He loves it. I wanted to knock a star off because I felt the shipping was too slow, but he really like this product.

This product is very good for the price! You will not go wrong.
