A facial sun blocker that actually stays on your face all day and does not end up melting into your eyes and nipping like so many others.We have used this for several years now and is my absolute go to facial sunscreen. Number one positive is that it doesn’t end up stinging my eyes. It smells divine and has the rich quality feel of a high end cosmetic.Downside is that it’s fairly heavy and greasy but for beach use that’s probably a positive. Upside is that you don’t need lots and it lasts even in baking heat of Greece in July or the sweltering humidity of Thailand.Brilliant for baldy gits like me because I can do my whole face and full bonce with just a wee splodge and am safe in the knowledge that I am properly protected all morning.

This is out go-to sun cream for using on faces. As it's designed for use in sports, if it runs into the eye when applying or when sweating, it doesn't cause the same level of irritation. It also goes a long way, so you only need a little amount compared to other creams. It comes out like a gel which is easier to apply to faces and the different curves and areas compared to arms or legs.

Having previously had cancerous cells on my face and sun damage, I am now very careful to ensure my skin is always protected from the sun and am always on the lookout for effective sun products for facial use. So many are thick, white and oily my face shine or attracting flies - but this sunscreen is so different to the rest.This sunscreen is a light, clear gel which, within 5 seconds of application to the skin, has completely disappeared. There is no cast, no shine and absolutely no trace of any oil or grease - it sinks completely into the skin, even on my oily skin. Without a doubt, this and the Lancaster Face Fluid are the most comfortable sun products I have ever worn.I used it during a hot sunny Easter trip to the coast in full sun and felt no burning at all, even as a freckled ginger with white skin which always burns and never tans. Two hours after application, I checked my skin was protected using a UV mirror designed specifically for this purpose. I also tested again on another occasion by adding the gel to just a patch of skin on my right cheek to compare protection vs. unprotected skin and it was visibly evident that the sun/UV protection still remained after 2 hours (see photo).The gel is very pleasant to use and apply with no need to wash hands after applying it to the face. It has a very appealing fragrance, resembling a light perfume rather than typical sunscreen and is a joy to use. My only concern is there is no UVA star rating. I like to use 5-star UVA protection but I have no clue re the UVA protection of this gel, only that it is SPF30 suggests about 97% UVB protection but no reference to UVA. It is also expensive at £25/50ml which is unaffordable for regular year-round daily usage but certainly one I will use for special occasions when I need to look and feel clean, non-greasy and not have dead flies stuck to my face.

This gel is amazing - it's so nice to put on and sun protection seems to be good. I wanted a sunscreen to use while out on a run and this is perfect. It doesn't get into the eyes and it feels great. I definitely recommend.

I wanted to try this as due to sun damage which after treatment has left me with a small white patch on my cheek, small price to pay(!), I am NOW finally uber committed to using proper high strength sun screen. I run, a lot, mostly every day in every weather, and I ride, and just am generally outside a lot. I’m naturally incredibly pale and with one close call sun damage ‘incident’ under my belt I’ve been using Aldi’s kid’s 50SPF sun screen EVERY day. It’s alright BUT, I look like I’m covered in suncreen, it leaves a whitish film on my skin (not attractive) and it’s gets pretty sweaty and smeary when I run. It does not work well under make-up. Again small prices.This is a whole different ball game. It smells lovely and feels like a decent moisturiser or serum. I’ve run wearing it and no clammy thick feeling, just felt again like a moisturiser and my make up went on just lovely after a shower and re-applying later in the day.It is invisible on the skin. It’s obviously a lot more expensive and there really doesn’t feel like you get a lot in the tube. Straight out the box the tube looks only just over half full. That said though I only needed a tiny amount to comfortably cover my face and neck so there’s that.I like it. A lot. It’s out the league better on all fronts than my cheap Aldi usual. I wear a really high factor EVERY day though and in the summer I’m constantly reapplying. I’d love to swop to this but it’s not really in my budget. It’s so much nicer but given I run every day I’d go through a lot… This is what I’d get for a holiday or use for a beach party.It does what it claims though and it feels nice and smells great so overall it’s a thumbs up.
