Do it!
This thing is super cool and feels well made! I’ve never had a wdt (Weiss distribution tool) but I figured I’d take the plunge. I know there are cheaper ones out there but you know what they say, “buy nice or buy twice” so I decided to splurge and treat myself to this one! Not disappointed one bit! Does a great job at breaking down any clumps and smoothing out the ground beans. I really like that it has the ability to simultaneously spin as you press down, very cool and efficient. I use this in conjunction with a leveler and a tamp to help me make consistent shots!Edit August 2022: fyi from seeing the other reviews it should be noted that the proper way to use this item is by pressing down and twisting the handle. This is how you get the proper rotation. I find it to be very effective and is still part of my daily routine.

Good product with things to improve
At its longest setting needles only reach 5/8” most portafilters are 1”, lasts 3/8” are not distributed. I only would increase the central screw 2/8” and it’s a perfect product.

Nice Looking But Totally Ineffective
I had high hopes for this item. I was really hoping it would work. Unfortunately the adjustment for the depth of the needles is limited. At its full depth, the needles only reached halfway into the portafilter basket rendering it useless. I returned it.

Does not rotate
This is a needle distribution tool. While it does work very nicely at distributing, it does not work as implied in the picture. The picture states press to rotate with what looks like the thing spinning after being pressed. When pressed, the needle tool does not spin. You have to spin it yourself after you press it. Also, as stated in previous reviews, it does not reach all the way down like you would expect.

Not as advertised
Extremely cheaply made, and the needles go 1 cm deep maximum, and that's only when you've unscrewed the spacer all the way to the top, making it extremely wobbly.This was obviously designed by someone who has never made an espresso in their life, saw a tiktok of some gen z using needle distribution, tried to free hand a copycat and the sent it to the cheapest manufacturer they could find.
