I otherwise would have been happy with this piece. Is otherwise sturdy enough, very nice magnifying glass with beautiful ornate pendant that clasps by magnet to frame of glass. long chain, looks lovely. Ordered as a special gift for Christmas, and when I went to wrap it, I was taking it out of plastic bag it came in inside the gift box, and saw it had a large gouge/ scratch right in centre of glass. So, so disappointed. Edit- Have since gotten more responsive communication from seller, and have resolved the issue. I spoke with the intended recipient of the gift, and since the gold was no longer available, they said they could live with the scratch. I requested to get a 50% refund and keep the piece, and seller agreed with this proposal.

Beautiful, yet clever and practical necklace. It is a great help in the grocery store to read expiration dates, etc. when I don't want to keep pulling out my readers. I gave one to a friend as a gift and she is thrilled with it. I have only had it for a week, so I do have questions about the durability. I am afraid the top decorative piece may come off. The necklace is long and heavier than my other costume jewelry but I still love it.
