I've had a cat water fountain for a while, and the worst part is the pump going bad because of low water level. Not only do you get low water notifications on this one, but the pump has low water shutdown protection built in! Also, if you worry about power outages, then worry no more! This fountain has a compartment where you can plug in , and store, a rechargeable battery pack. It automatically switches over when the power goes out. It also holds twice the water of a normal fountain, and tracks which cat is drinking and how often. The connection to wifi was simple, but you need to know a couple of things first. 1- your wifi name can't contain spaces or special characters. 2-on Android, disable WiFi calling before attempting to connect it to the network. After successful connection, re-enable WiFi calling. Easy as falling down the stairs. Lol. Cats already love the water because of the 4 step filter. Really great product.
