With consistent use can make a difference to relieve tight calf muscles better than anything else I have found.
This is exactly what I need & I am very happy that I discovered it. The slantboard is very sturdy, not too heavy, and easy to use. It can be adjusted to several different levels which I find useful as I improve. It is a little longer than I expected but this has not been a problem. I have had very tight calf muscles for years and physical therapists have tried many things to loosen them up. The tightness has been so bad that it influences my walking so that I cannot place my feet flat on the floor - and tend to walk on my toes. I have been working to step down heel first but this has been very difficult. However, after reading some of the reviews and trying the slantboard during my pt sessions I decided to purchase this product. I started using it immediately and can notice a major difference. I believe with consistent use of this board I will achieve my goal of better & proper walking - with the correct gait. I would definitely purchase this board again and recommend it. I find I do need to hold on to something (a bar or some kind of handle) as my balance is not good enough to use the board alone. I thought the price was a little high but did not compare with other comparable boards.

Excellent incline board for calf stretching.
This is a very well made incline board that exceeded my expectations. It is very sturdy and the graphite coating on top ensures your foot will stay firmly planted and not slip. I especially like the hinged design allowing for multiple angles. I needed this for physical therapy to stretch my calves, and an incline board is superior to any of the calf stretches you can do without one. I’ve used one before at my physical therapist’s office and his did not have multiple angles, so I would say this one is better the one at the PT office! This one is a bit more expensive than some of the others out there, but I would say it is definitely worth the money. Very solid construction that I think will last a long time.

Great, lower leg fitness tool
I'm 50 years old and 215 lbs (25 lbs over-weight). I suffered an over-use injury in my mid-foot (job related) that took 9 weeks of rest/mild walking to begin to feel OK. I went to 2 podiatrists and a physical therapist, all whom never mentioned anything about the benefits of a slant board. Thank God for the internet. I first learned about this equipment from a book "ProBodX" by Marv Marinovich. I started using this board to get a deep, satisfying stretch in my calf/lower leg and it's helped the stiffness/pain I was feeling in the top of my foot. My lower leg was very stiff and this thing does an amazing job. I use it everyday now. I think every athlete should use one, and I think anyone over the age of 45 should use it too. Keep in mind I waited for all my nerve pain and most of my foot soreness to go away before I began to use this board. I'm not recommending you use this with an injured foot, consult a doctor/podiatrist or qualified physical therapist if you have any questions or aren't sure what to do. You can hurt yourself using this so be careful and take it slow. The FitterFirst slant board I think has the best construction, but it's $40 more. Maybe something to consider if you weigh 300lbs ++ or just want something that's made the best.

A well made slant board, but I like the RiversEdge Premium Slant board better.
This is a sturdy and well made slant board. I also bought the RiversEdge Premium Slant board, so I can compare the two. I use this unit at home and the RiversEdge unit at work. I use the slant boards to stretch out my achilles tendon and soleus muscle so I can squat deeply without ankle mobility limitations for Crossfit and weightlifting exercises. The slant boards have been very effective for increasing my mobility. I was doing ankle stretches several times a day without progress for the last 8 months. Just two weeks using these slant boards has improved the range of motion in my ankles substantially, and I expect further progress as I increase the angle of the slant boards. I am currently on the 30° angle, so I have another increment on the Liberty Imports board before I max it out. Summary: Both slant boards are well made and functional. I prefer the RiversEdge for the smaller adjustment increments, the ability to fold flat, and being made in the USA. However, the Liberty Imports has the possible advantages of higher weight capacity, lower minimum incline angle, and nicer appearance. Construction: The RiversEdge slant board is made of welded steel, and seems more likely to stay together than the screwed-together plywood of the Liberty Imports slant board. However, the Liberty Imports unit is rated for 350lbs compared to the 300lbs of the RiversEdge unit. The RiversEdge gets a bonus point for being made in the USA. The Liberty Imports is made in China. Dimensions: the Liberty Imports unit is a half inch narrower and 3 inches longer front to back than the RiversEdge unit. The extra length front to back of the Liberty Imports unit is probably only useful if you have huge feet. I would prefer a slant board a bit wider than either of these ones. The top surface of the RiversEdge reaches closer to the floor on its low side, which is an advantage if you use a slant board at a standing desk as I do, as you can stand on the board with your heels near the floor and not be elevated too high above the surface of the desk. The Liberty Imports unit lifts you an additional inch higher. Adjustability: Both offer 5 different angles, with the Liberty Imports having angles of 15°, 20°, 25°, 30° and 35°, while the RiversEdge unit has angles of 21°, 26°, 29°, 33° & 36°. If you have a very limited range of motion in the ankles, the smaller minimum angle of the Liberty Imports unit might be preferable. I prefer the smaller increments of adjustment available in the RiversEdge unit. Convenience: The RiversEdge unit folds flat to about 1.3" high for easy storage, while the Liberty Imports is about 5" high at its minimum slant of 15° due to its built in sides. Looks: The Liberty Imports slant board is made of plywood with a thin wood veneer. With the exception of a few chips to the veneer near the screw holes, it's a plain but reasonably attractive device. The RiversEdge slant board is industrial grey painted steel, and is strictly utilitarian in appearance.

Great for use in physical therapy
When I was in physical therapy healing an issue with my leg I noticed this slant board and decided to purchase one for home use. A great decision and the right product to do exactly what I needed. This slant board is very well made. The wood is thick and sturdy and adjusts to practically any angle you could possibly use. The material covering the part of the board where you step on is very grippy to ensure a stable position. Being large I have found this board can hold my weight easily and surely. Great device for home therapy.

Love this slant board
I desperately needed a slant board (shin splints) and selected this one. It is very, very sturdy. It gives you lots of incline options. I use it barefooted and my feet stay where I put them. However if I wear socks I will slide off, which is when I realized it would have been great to have a ridge at the end of the heel side of the slant board to keep from sliding off the board when wearing socks. However I prefer to stretch barefooted so it is not an issue with me. If you would only use it wearing socks I would recommend that you look for one that has a lip on the heel side of the board so you would not slip off the back.

Great quality
Great for after ankle surgery and trying to get mobility back into the ankle joint.

One of the best things for your calves, Achilles, and ankles!
I have been using this product for 3 years and it as been a game changer. It is well built and priced fairly. This is one of the best ways to stretch your calves and achilles tendon as well as increase ankle flexion, which helps with knee and hip health. It has alleviated my plantar fasciitis and knee pain. I have recommended it to all my massage clients in Grand Junction, CO. A few of my clients weigh in the 250-300lbs range, and this slant board is strong enough to support them easily. I can’t recommend this product enough!
