This book builds foundational skills for playing weissenborn style guitar. If you are looking for quick tab for popular songs then this may not be the right book. If you need to know good technique and approach with tone bar and lessons for finger picking styles then this will help. Also, the lessons are presented for playing in "open G tuning" which I find useful.

I experienced a few problems with the link for the sound files. I would be connected to Mel Bay's catalog page with no acutual link to sound files.I sent an email to MelBay.com and received a reply from a gentleman by the name of Josh Buck. The same link as in the fronts page worked from the email and I was able to download a large zip file.Kudos to Mr. Buck for being so prompt with his reply.

Nowhere does it say in the book how to access the "alleged" online audio tracks that go with the book. There is no website, no key, no phone number to a place to call.

I’d rather have the audio portion of the lessons supplied on a CD instead of online. The online portion isn’t very smooth running. A CD would be easier.

Great lesson Book has of repetition of lessons to get you to play great

The book looks pretty good, but it's not in DAD#AFD or GBDGBD so I don't expect will ever use it. My bad for not checking first.
