Cheezeballs Pepperjacks are the culmination of over 3 years of research, development and real world skater testing. We have taken the best parts of our other bearings' material and design and coupled them with the material properties of high carbon steel; the hardest steel available for any application and only available in a skate bearing through us. This is the same grade of steel that Samurai swords are made from! We then combined these trick carbon steel deep groove races with the same top-of-the-line silicon nitride ceramic balls found in our Swisses and a full 440 stainless steel cage (inspired by the bronze cage of our Cheddars and the stainless steel used in our Swiss races. The result of all of this hard work is a hand prepared speed bearing that is ready to eat up all the abuse you can throw at it. Derby, speed, vert, skateboarding... It doesn't matter. Pepperjacks are what you need. As with all Cheezeball bearings, Pepperjacks are ABEC-7 rated and are cleaned, dried, oiled, test spun and double sealed BY HAND to weed out any defects.

I've been playing roller derby for 8 seasons now and have been using Cheezeballs bearings for 5 of them. As a pivot, burst speed is incredibly important and Cheezeballs have always given me great returns for my effort. I started on Cheddar in 2011 and upgraded to Pepperjack in 2015, and couldn't be happier. Especially as someone who doesn't clean their bearings frequently, I love the cleaning processes and materials used by Cheezeballs, as they deliver amazing quality and long lasting spin. I can't imagine using a different company for my bearing needs.

Best bearings I've ever owned. I use them for speed skating, roller derby, and inline hockey. My pepperjacks are the set I use for competing, and they've never let me down. If you care about speed, they're definitely worth the money.
