Fantastic sticks
A stick that gives both great hi-hat action on the tip and a roaring snare rimshot will always grab my attention.Only problem is that they break really easily. If you care about not spending too much on sticks, go for a more durable stick like a 3A. Those things are tanks.

light. nice balance. nice grip. good rimshots. good rim click
When I play with these sticks, I think about how much happier these sticks would be in Benny Greb's hands than mine. Having played with thinner sticks than this for so long, the thicker handle-room naturally gives me more control. It would look like a heavy stick from it's diameter, but it's not. I can play around my kit super light and with very clear definition. With so much of the weight distributed closer to the hand instead of toward the top of the stick, if feel like I am encouraged to play lighter strokes, yet still able to play as fast as usual. Feels more relaxed, as if this was these were the sticks I needed all along.Compared to my old sticks, this Benny Greb stick makes it easier to make contact with the middle of the stick against the rim of my snare drum when doing rimshots.Oh, and a tip from Benny is to tap your head lightly with both of your sticks to see if their pitches match. These did.The feel of these sticks are way different than my other ones and are really fun to play with

Well made sticks
I picked up the Keith Moon version and I find the weight and balance of the sticks fantastic.

Pleasantly Surprised
The sticks have good balance for even attack, which can play soft & with power. Medium weight (like a heavy 5A) with distinct green lettering.Worth the purchase - great training sticks for my lighter sticks; helps with stick bpms.

Great until an unlucky break. SEE EDIT.
EDIT:Contacted the seller and they reached out to Vic Firth to get me a replacement pair. I wanted to say thank you to the seller for their prompt communication and their willingness to work towards getting me a replacement. Would buy this pair, and perhaps others, again from this seller.(Old review before contacting seller)Used for less than an hour. Had them for less than 24. I've been using Vic firths for the majority of my 10 years playing. This has happened once before in that time, but with much thinner sticks. Pretty disappointed that they just went and snapped without much use.Other than that, the weight is great, and the taper is smooth into the tip which is also great. Probably one of the better sounding tips. I wish I could have used them for longer so I could have seen how well the tips hold up after riding for a while but I'll have to save that for the next pair.Hope you all aren't unlucky like me.

Typical great quality from Vic Firth
I was expecting big ol' monkey sticks and these are tiny little things compared to Vic Firth SD9 and the even bigger SD1. That is not a bad thing and not a dig on these sticks. They're light and fast, about a half inch shorter than the sticks I mentioned. I spent about 15 minutes with them so far and I think I am going to like these sticks a lot.I am not a professional drummer and haven't found a favorite stick yet, so I have many pairs of various sticks. Edit: These let me play with more articulation than girthier sticks. Spent about a half hour more just now and I like 'em! This was a great purchase and the quality is high; just what one would expect from Vic Firth.

Buy these to melt face.
First Amazon review ever simply because these sticks are worth every penny. Great for rock and metal but can be used for really any genre. Makes an amazing funk stick. Feels great holding with traditional grip. A little on the heavy side for jazz but the little nuances that come with a jazz stick definitely exist in the feel of these sticks. I did break one a little prematurely but I was laying into my snare a little more than I should of been. Just keep that in mind. Great for speed and control but don’t go full hammy on these or they break like any stick. The weight of them makes it so u don’t have to try so hard to pull the sound out of your drums. Sticks are all about preference but I’d recommend these to any drummer I’d ever meet.

Vic Firth signature sticks are consistently well made and matched. These sticks are nicely balanced and suited to a gigging drummer's need for versatility within the normal range of engagements from jazz to covers. Not designed for heavy rock players.

Sticks are not same at the ones I bought before...
I have been using these drum sticks for over a year now, this would have to be the 5th pair that I have bought. I loved the weight and feel when playing. This pair I bought felt completely different as soon as I started to warm up on a pad. I then compared the weight of my old pare to my new pare on a kitchen scale to witch the new pair was noticeably lighter by 20g.

Great feel and durability
Easy stick to get used to. We'll balanced and very versatile. Also one of, if not the most durable sticks I've used. Would highly recommend to anyone, not just to fans of matt
