Q: Is this product solid stainless steel? Our previous faucet developed unsightly pock marks over time.

I'm not certain. The description online says it is stainless - but don't know about "solid." I haven't seen any spotting, but I don't spend much time in the home where it is. I had it installed last summer. It is a lovely faucet set. I have it in my summer home and am thinking of getting the same one for my winter home. It really is elegant.

Q: is the finish matte or shiny ? how does it differ from the whitmore ?

It’s a matte finish, brushed nickel look

Q: Does the turn on handle lift or turn the one i have now lifts and keeps breaking .

The turn on handle lifts to water and your turn it for temperature. It's a nice picture for the price.

Q: Can a Pur water filter be attached to this faucet?

I would say yes only because I have a brita water filter on mine
