Happy Turtles!
My turtles love them! I have them on reserve but I will on occasion add one to the tank. They vanish within a few days. They are a little smaller than a golf ball and sink to the bottom as soon as you add them. They also come with bonus items such as water treatment for 7 gallons and a sample of ZOO MED turtle food. I use both. Overall this is a pretty great product and my turtles seem to enjoy it.*** Update***Almost 2 years later and it's still his go-to snack!! (Although he's tripled in size!)

Our red eared slider loves them
These are a favorite of our adult red eared slider. He devours them fairly quickly because he likes them so much. We will be ordering him more. Zoo Med is a good product and a good value for the money. We also use other products by them.

Very Handy To Have Around For Emergencies!
I used to keep these blocks on hand when my red-eared slider turtles were babies and my husband and I were planning to go away. Between two small turtles, the blocks would easily last up to one week, saving us the worry of making sure our turtles were fed while we were away. They absolutely loved eating these blocks as well. As they grew, we started using two blocks instead of one. After they grew to about 3.5-4 inches (measured in width, NOT HEAD TO TAIL!), they would easily eat up one block in one day. At this point, we had to invest in an automatic food/pellet dispenser. These blocks are great for small turtles or if you have larger turtles but are only going away for 1-3 days. Of course, if your turtles are larger, you will need to use a couple of blocks, depending on how many days you will be away. They are definitely great to have on hand for emergencies. I didn't give these blocks a 5 star because a time will probably come when you will need to invest in a food dispenser as well unless 1. you are a homebody 2. you can always find someone to watch after and care for your turtles when you are not around.

Excellent Value
I'm sorry to have to give this product 3 stars because it's probably my fault somehow that it didn't perform well. I just got a new baby turtle. I set him up in a large plastic tub, about 23 gallons. I put one of these in the water and two days later it was all cloudy and the tablet was breaking apart. I had to do a complete water change, since I had not gotten my filtration system set up yet. Like I said that was probably my fault. Also the tablet I put in there was broken from shipping, so maybe that had something to do with it. My turtle wasn't interested in eating any part of it either! So take your chances with these, maybe with bigger, hungrier turtles they work better.

Red Ear Slider loved it
I have used this banquet block once before, when I took a weekend trip. I dropped it in my 10-gallon aquarium that I keep full of water for my Red Ear Slider and was happy to see that it didn't come apart after 3 days of sitting in water and make a mess. It stayed intact and kept my turtle fed, she seemed to really like it once she figured out it was food. I bought this one to have on hand in case I need to leave again.Since I always place food for my Red Ear Slider on a dock, I was not sure she would know that this banquet block is food. So what I did a few days before I was to leave was place it in the aquarium and not give her any other food to make sure she could figure it out. It took a day, but she got it and I could see the bite marks in the block, which gave me peace of mind on my trip.

Didn't think it would work, but IT DID!!!
I was looking for something that would help my red ear slider's shell, because the had minor shell rot on the bottom. After treatment the shell rot went away but the shell growth around the rot was very slow. While ordering turtle food i saw these tablets, i bought them because they provide calcium and slow releasing food for a snack. After the second tablet dissolved which each takes about a week and a half, my turtle started shedding healthy looking shell bits and looks visibly bigger. The shell rot pitting is also no longer visible.
