For one of the largest options (48V, 20AH), you get a rated capacity of 1,440 watt hours: thats nearly 15 times the maximum capacity you're allowed to bring on an airplane, so it's going to take a while to charge even with a decent charger

What brand batteries are used in the 36 volt 12 ah battery?

Buyer Beware... first note that this is a battery pack... made up from a collection of battery CELLS... it's the cell that you are asking about... and in my experience you pay for what you get... example this battery is made up of a number of 18650 batteries.... used as cells in the battery pack... the 48 volts is easy that simply means there are 13 battery cell strung together in series and producing 48v (nominal).... but the 12 Ah (Amp Hours) is the fly in the soup... the ad says 20000 mAH per cell ... which leads one to expect 20Ah... But such cells range from 12000 up to 35000 .... leading one to believe that 12000 mAh cells will produce a 12Ah battery (bad assumption for many reasons but simply in this communication)... OR one could assume that the 20000 (mid range cell) is in play and the 12Ah is a marketing conservative statement...

Volts times amps equals watts. So 48 volts and 500 watts is about 10 amps not 40. This battery should work wel,.
