I love this book! It is what I needed for a reference in my Integrative Health Clinic. I will purchase volume 2 soon. Thank you Dr. Vasquez for putting much of the information I use into such a precise clinical reference book.

Vasquez is brilliant, I refer to this text for my Functional Medicine practice.

Simply put, this is the most comprehensive book on Functional Medicine out there. It is mind boggling in it's scope and sets the new standard for integrative medicine books. It extensively covers physical assessment and patient examination in a easy to understand format. The depth of blood work interpretation from a functional perspective is unsurpassed. Over 100 pages are devoted to establishing a system of care based on wellness promotion and foundational concepts like diet, nutrition, psycoemotional and social health, exercise and musculoskeletal care, every bit of it practical and incredibly well referenced. The following 700 pages are devoted to identifying the modifiable factors in chronic inflammation and developing effective treatment protocols for the most complicated of diseases, including multiple autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, migraines and diabetes. In short, the level of information in this book surpasses that found in FM training courses that cost 100 times as much. You won't be putting this book on your bookshelf, it will find it's rightfully deserved place on your desk for easy referencing.

I did not think much of this book. Lot of information about the author that was like a personal scrapbook. I will admit the author has contributed a lot to functional medicine . This book did not reflect , what he is capable of doing .

I have several of Dr. Vasquez texts and have gone through many of his online video programs as well (on his membership site) I am a practicing herbalist and functional medicine coach and I cannot highly recommend his work enough. I see clients one-on-one and teach workshops. I have been studying about holistic remedies for MANY year and seeing clients now for 10 years and his work has helped me help my clients to much! Any of his work is a worthy investment and no one pays me to say any of that, lol. I am a huge fan for sure!

This author spends too much time bashing allopathic physicians--should spend more of the time on what he knows--all of medicine is a difficult task and allopaths have years more training because there is SO much to know.
