Understanding Child Abuse and Neglect

The book had all the answers that I was looking for, I liked how easy it was to maneuver around the book and how some of the things I needed to write about was either on the same page or on the next page when I needed it. I'm a criminal justice student and I had to have this book for exams and obvious reasons. I won't say I loved the book because whenever I stumbled across something difficult it was not in the book, some of the things were rephrased and written differently than on the assignment or exam. But I must say it was easy for me to pass the class using this book, the book didn't have much of a scent except for used-book smell and it smelled like someone had cleaned it off with Windex cleaner, which is okay because I'd rather it smell like a cleaner than cigarette smoke or something else. But the book was easy to read and there were index pages and chapter pages where the stuff I needed was located. Good luck to anyone who needs this book, hopefully its the right one and you can use it and have as great of luck as I had. You can learn a lot from this book even if you're not studying child abuse this is still something that you can just read to get an understanding about people and life. It's an advantage you can take a full opportunity on and hopefully learn new things without feeling left out of the world.

The book was in good condition but was full of cat dander! I itched and wheezed while reading this book!

When I got the book it was in fair condition. There is 2 missing pages in this book when I got the book.

I bought this book for a class on family abuse, so I was prepared for the pain that would be included in the experience. It provides a basic guide to the multiple types of abuse and neglect but it is a brief overview.

so it was as good as a college text book that you didn't want to but so instead rented for a MUCH LESSER price can be. 10/10 would recommend to rent instead of buy!

This was a very informative book.

In depth look at abuse

This is such an informative book. I am using for a class, and learning so much new information on the topic. This is a must have psychology book and I would recommend it for all people who work with children on a daily basis. This book gives information on what signs to look for as well as how to work with children who have been abused or neglected.
