Tired of disposable suitcases?
I finally got fed up with cheap suitcases that only lasted a few trips before something breaking, wheels, handles, zippers, etc. This is the third Eagle Creek Tarmac AWD for us. The first one we bought two years ago is a veteran of about 20 trips and now looking like an "experienced" traveler with NO damage of any kind, other than a few scuffs. The wheels work effortlessly and actually go in a straight line! The hybrid design is the best of both worlds, with a polycarbonate hard shell bottom and soft-side top that seems to be indestructible. My wife can easily handle her own suitcase and carry-on backpack with one hand! Hers is a 28", which is really about the right size for most trips, but no longer being made. We also have a 26" which is the right size for shorter trips, however is too small to fit suit jackets without folding. I would have opted for the 29" but went with the 30" in order to have a little more room for shoes and other bulkier men's clothes. We leave next week for nine weeks in Europe that involves planes, trains and automobiles, with a couple cruises thrown in for good measure. I know we won't be trying to find a replacement suitcase while traveling like we have done with disposable suitcases that failed at the worst times possible.

Eagle Creek makes great bags and between my wife and myself we probably have 6 of their bags in different sizes. Also, their Pack-it cubes are the best way to pack everything. We couldn't live without the pack-it system. However, I do have one complaint and that is with the main zipper. It is strong but it is hard to zip up or even harder to zip closed. Hopefully after some use it will get better. I am trying to lubricate it with a little wax.

Sturdy and light weight. Easy to maneuver
Very nice and lightweight piece of luggage. I was not sure I was going to like four wheels vs. two but I did. Well put together and thought out zippers. I bought the blue as I was tired of trying to figure out which bag was mine on the carousel. Would buy again.

People need to know that good luggage can be a game changer when traveling
People need to know that good luggage can be a game changer when traveling. I LOVE this suitcase. Great material, easy to push through the airport while holding a toddler and other luggage. Awesome design. Just the right amount of pockets.

Does Everything I need, just a little small
I had used the previous version of this bag, and absolutely loved it. Still have it as a matter of fact and been all over the world with it. Even though it is the 22 version, I had no troubles in Europe or Australia carrying on as long as it was not expanded. My wife wanted to use one and we constantly fought over who carried the Eagle Creek. So I bought this new one. The space is a bit smaller, but not incredibly smaller. The issue I currently have is that the handle collapses on my while I am rolling it. It doesn't seem to click in solidly to hold the position. I most likely am going to initiate a return on this bag to get that fixed. Otherwise I would give a 5 star review.Of all the rolling bags I have used including Samsonite, this is fantastic. It is a light bag to start with, the compartments are great and keep all my stuff in it, even when I open it. Having the 2 separate halves, makes it easy to use in a hotel just open it and work right out of it. Sometimes I don't bother to unpack if only a 2 day stop, and I have easy access to all my items.

Misleading amount of packable space, TOO SMALL
The manufacturer should have given the interior dimensions. They are 13x19x7.5 inches NOT 13.75x22x9. Also, the picture of the back of the bag leads you to believe that the handle framework is outside the bag not on the inside taking up space. WRONG, the framework is on the inside taking up valuable space in this small bag. The bag seems substantial good zippers, great warranty, wheels , poly carbonate back.... Bottom line this bag is way too small for the price tag it carries. Fyi, In the last 15 days Ive PURCHASED a Travelpro Platinum Magna 2, a Briggs & Riley domestic carryon, and a Genius 22 g3.....( all 4 wheel spinners) All to figure out which bag would hold the most clothes, ease of packing them, best warranty and to physically see the bag... to touch it, feel it, pack it and see how i think they hold up. So far, thought the most expensive, the Briggs and Riley beats them all hands down....NOT EVEN CLOSE the runners up were #2 travelpro because of the warranty, the compression band, and the suiter pkg, #3 Genius g3 because it packed great but not a good warranty and #4 yours truly the Eagle creek which is being packed back up for return.

so good. It's a hardshell on the back
This was for my wife who travels two to five days most weeks. So far, so good. It's a hardshell on the back, and soft and expandable in the front. Rolls great. It was slightly smaller than her other week travel bag, but she managed to get just as much in this one. We'll have to wait and see how long it will stand up to the abuse of the airlines.

De la mejor calidad en maletas
De la mejor calidad. El precio es elevado pero la maleta se paga sola puesto que dura muchísimos años.

Excellent quality
A premium piece of luggage. I returned the AWD after inspection due to personal preference for two wheeler and bigger wheels. I have the International carry on two wheeler and it's great to use. The bags look good, are easy to handle, nicely armoured and are fitted with very durable zippers made with double layers of teeth.
