Present for my husband’s birthday
Great stereo system for the price! Some of the features that we have noticed that we have been pleasantly surprised by are the display when the Bluetooth is on: it will display either the artist or the current song title or the album title. You can also change the four other discs while you are listening to one. The buttons on both the front of the stereo and on the remote are seamless and highly responsive. The Bluetooth is also very intuitive and easy to use, working well with our iPhones. The radio comes in very clear, but we did order an external antenna as suggested by another reviewer and it made hooking the antenna up much easier and is far better quality than the one you get with the stereo system. It’s been about a month of steady use now and we are very happy with our new stereo! It’s packed with features and has great sound quality, and we’ve tried it with a range of genres, from metal to 60’s rock.

Second time around a success
I waited almost three (3) months to make sure it would last. So far so good. This is the second unit purchased/sent to me. The first unit sent was "reconditioned". I had order a new unit, and Amazon sent me this reconditioned unit. It was defective from day one. This first unit was returned to Amazon (hope they don't send it to you). This second unit has operated as described in the Operation Manual. It does help to read the instruction.

Sharp Shooter Tips
The sharp micro stereo ships in a factory white retail box, so if this is a present or you dont want the factory box tore up during transport, then request the retail box be put inside a big brown amazon box.If you temper your expectations, then this unit sounds good at 50 watts RMS. 25 watts left + 25 watts right channel. The included FM antenna can go into the trash, because it's just a thin piece of wire that plugs into the back of the stereo. Buy the Bingfu FM dipole antenna for $8 if you want any real chance of pulling in radio stations.Note that there are 2 versions of this stereo. The all black model and the Gold Limited edition with the gold volume knob and gold trim around the woofers. The specs are the same for both units, so get the one that suits your style. Some reviews said they received the standard black model when they ordered the Gold Label model. The seller (Electronic Express) sent me the correct Gold Label model & it's new in box and not a refurb model. The instructions are written in clear English and set up was easy pie. Don't forget to press the eco button on the remote, so that the display goes complete dark when you press the red on/standby button. Otherwise, the screen will stay lit with disco screen flashing light messages that will freak you out and keep you awake at night if you like to sleep in complete darkness. Also, pressing the play mode buttton on the remote, until you see the words "random" display on screen will randomly play songs on the current disc. This unit does not randomly play songs on all 5 discs like the old school rotary disc stereos. Which is understandable, since all that movement will eventually wear out the mechanism. Work around: Just burn your favorite songs on a usb stick and insert into the stereo if you want random music playing. This is a nice retro nostalgia piece that brings back memories of playing CDs in the 80s. This unit is an upgraded 2022 model with CD, NFC, USB, and Bluetooth compared to other versions that have a cassette player. The remote has decent distance and controls the whole unit, so dont lose or break it.It's been 5 days and so far everything works great including the 5 disk CD player. The stack cd mechanism outputs more noise compared to the 5 disc rotary models, but nothing too crazy. I'll update the review if anything breaks. Click helpful if this info helped you out love 💜

This is crap
All I wanted was a multi-CD player so I wouldn't have to keep switching CDs. I just want to play my music and not have to fuss with it every time I turn around. Well this is worse than playing one CD at a time because it stops every couple of songs. This thing keeps switching to "Bluetooth" at random. I did a search online and other people have the same problem.I called Sharp and she said, "that's weird." Yeah. So she puts me on hold and comes back and says that the Bluetooth is always on and always searching for a device. If it finds one it switches from CD to Bluetooth. There's nothing they can do about it. But what device? I moved it across the room from the TV and computer router, it switches when my phone is on a different floor in the house. I asked if it would find devices in the apartment next door. She couldn't rule it out. Sometimes it doesn't even play for a whole song, much less a whole CD. To get it back on CD you have to push a button on the unit itself. You can't even do it with the remote control, so if you're in another room you've got to go restart your music.I don't want to return the damn thing. I don't want another one. I just threw away $200. Glad it wasn't more. I won't buy another Sharp product. Trash. Garbage. I'm disgusted and angry.

Love it!!!! Great unit.
After a very frustrating time with my unit continually returning to BLUETOOTH mode, calls to Sharp and opening a "case", it actually was because I still had bluetooth active on my laptop computer. Even after turning "OFF" the Bluetooth app by using the "toggle" to OFF, I discovered that by using the device manager on my computer I was able to DISABLE the bluetooth on my laptop. That did the trick!!!! My system works great and the sound is amazing. The Bluetooth problem almost had me ready to throw it out.... So.....if WE aren't real, real computer savy, we don't know that the toggle switch to OFF does NOT DISABLE bluetooth on computer. I love this Sharp component system and am thrilled to have the problem solved.
